I was just thinking randomly earlier and put the thoughts of thank you cards and Thanksgiving together and was wondering. It would be really nice to know! :)
Not many people do, but you can always start a tradition. But most people verbally thank those who they wish to commemorate for Thanksgiving (i.e. family), so the card is unnecessary. There are so many other holidays thanking various groups (Memorial Day, Veterans Day, thank your postman day, etc) that they don't get special thanks for Thanksgiving.
Something which drives me nuts is how we here in America forget to thank others when they do things to help us or make our world a better place ...
There are many Channel 24 news broadcasts across the country. One is missing the specific city, state to see if such a broadcast even exists.
I'm an exchange student and am staying with a host family for the holidays. What should I write in the Thanksgiving card I bought for them? Is something like this ok? "Thank you for welcoming me into your home"...Any suggestions?

RARITAN — We would like to say THANK YOU to the parishioners of St. Ann Church in Raritan for their monetary and food donations, and to all the wonderful volunteers that helped to make this year's Thanksgiving Food Basket Project a success!! Their kindness and generosity made this possible and gave 52 less fortunate families; 148 adults and 188 children a brighter and special Thanksgiving. The recipients of these baskets are families from St. Ann School and John F. Kennedy School in Raritan; Bradley Gardens School, Milltown School in Bridgewater; families from the Somerset County Food Bank in Bound Brook, and from St. Ann's parish. Each family received a bountiful food basket, a turkey, a pumpkin pie and a Stop & Shop gift card.
