A friend of mine just had her bridal shower and I received a thank you note with a cute little poem on it thanking me for my gift. Well my baby shower was last weekend and I'd like to use a cute poem for my thank you cards. Does anyone know of a good website with a few to choose from or any that they've heard? Thanks!
Rather than taking up room on the card with a cute poem, just write a sincere, honest message. (I'm going to assume that you do NOT intend the poem to actually replace a personal, handwritten thank you message. That would be completely unacceptable.)

Okay...Im having a house warming party on the 3rd of may...me and my wonderful boyfriend are buying are 1st house im soooo excited...we are still young 19...well im trying to find some cute thank you card poems, saying or any wordings i can put in them....sooo any help would be nice and very appreciated i have been lookin for the past couple days and cant find anything!!! What kinds of things can you do in a thank you card to make it really special?
Do you have any poems? Quotes? A special touch?
Well first and foremost personalize with their name. If you are thanking them for a gift, include what that gift was and how you will use it.
If this is like for wedding gifts, only do about 10 at a time so your handwritting doesn't get sloppy and tired.
Quotes are good, if you know your audience.
Im wanting a nice sympathy poem to put in a sympathy card, for a deceased grandad. Thank you.

Veterans deserve a place of honor
To the editor:
I would like to wish all veterans in Jacksonville and the surrounding area a big thank-you for their sacrifice and dedication to our country — past and present.
On Nov. 7, I was invited to read over the radio a poem that I had composed to honor the memory of my father as well as veterans who served in our armed forces. I arrived just in time to see a wonderful school band perform for our veterans.
I don’t have children and stay very busy, so I assume that is why the parents left right after the children’s program instead of allowing them this wonderful opportunity to hear first hand the history of the Marine Corps and ask questions of armed forces veterans. I assume many of the children have parents serving in the war we are still fighting. I can understand, though, as growing up here we also took veterans for granted. Who wants to spend an afternoon listening to grandpa when there are super cool movies and video games that await?

Boggled by the challenge of choosing from among all your excellent poems, we found a celebrity judge to do the deed — Clarinda Harriss, a Towson State University English professor and poet.
Her favorite poem? Jennifer Bishop’s sonnet. Harriss called it “the hands-down, sans-question winner. She chose an excellent model (With Shakespeare you can’t go wrong/when penning a parody-song) and made something very clever on its own. Sonnets rule! This one rules!”
