My boss went on a trip to India and came back with bracelets and a tunic. I'm not sure what to write in his thank you card.

I work for a small family owned company (less than 50 people) and my boss just gave me a mid-year bonus equal to 6% of my yearly salary. Should I send him and his wife a thank you card?
I think he would appreciate the gesture considering that there is not enough people in the world who even think about doing something like that. Most would take the bonus and just be done with it, but you actually thought about showing some form of appreciation. So, I would say yeah, go for it. It would probably also grease the wheels for a bonus equal to or greather than this one next year too.
I've been with this company and same boss for 1.5 years and I am transferring within the company, actually to another town about 2 hours away. It seems like a lot has been happening in my personal life lately and has gotten in the way of work, she has given me several warnings about my absences. She keeps giving me chances and stuck it out these past two months. She is understanding to my needs and problems. Now I am transferring on good terms, I was just wondering if it is an appropriate thing to do.
It's always appropriate to thank someone and acknowledge their effect on your life. Whether or not you feel like you are close enough for this gesture is up to you. I would definitely do something for her, give some kind of recognition.
Keep it simple or he'll think you're sucking up.
Something like
Thanks for thinking of me during the busy holiday season!
No, just bring yourself, a happy face and a great attitude and SHOW him how happy you are he hired you.

My son in law and a nephew are over there right now.....so hell yes the public better support this war. If Oslima would back the hell away and let the people in this war with the knowledge of running a war do their job, it would be over shortly. Oslima doesnt have a clue , nor do his people for that matter. Cheney or Bush either one is better in this case than dirtball.

That's SEVEN ways to enter to win. And yes, I'm aware that four of them require you to open a Twitter account (if you don't already have one). But it takes about 43 seconds to open the account, and these prizes are totally worth it.
UPDATED: I forgot to mention that by RSVPing for the Twitter party, you'll also be entered in the blog giveaway. So that's EIGHT ways to win.
The giveaway ends at 4:59pm on Tuesday, December 8th. Winners (chosen at randon) will be announced during the Twitter Party.
