Photo Wedding Thank You Card

Hi everyone! We are having our wedding in August and are already receiving wedding gifts from our registry in the mail. We are sending out thank you cards out immediately after so they don't pile up. So we are wondering, if people have already received thank you cards for gifts before the wedding, do we need to send personal thank you cards after the wedding too? Or should we just send a more generic card with our wedding photo? Any suggestions? Thanks!

It can be anything you want.

But I recommend personalized.

Some people I'm sure put time, effort, and thought into your wedding gift.

Besides, you have 3 months to get it done.

We had a "no gifts requested" wedding, but many people sent gifts or money anyway. I sent thank-you cards to each person who sent us a gift before or after the wedding - sent them as soon as I received each gift so I wouldn't forget. Well, now that the wedding is over I am wondering if I should use one of our wedding photos to make a "thank you for attending our wedding" card to send to everyone who attended, whether or not they gave a gift. However, this would mean that those who did give a gift will get 2 thank-yous - one for the gift and one for coming. Is this thank-you overload?
There were also favors on the tables that said thank you.

Absolutely proper. It is never wrong to thank anybody for anything. I loved getting photos of the couple after attending the wedding, although it was more often a photocard at Christmas.

for my wedding thank you notes i was going to put a 4x6 wedding photo of us in each one. i received one that way and thought it was a nice touch. i already ordered them. then i decided to personalize the actual thank you card with our photo so the front cover is our photo with the words thank you. now i have all these photos. should i shove them in or leave them out? it's the same photo but i know cards get tossed and photos are kept.

Hi. I would only include them for very close family.....siblings, grandparents, aunt/uncles, etc.

For everyone else....leave them out.

We just received our first wedding gift! It was a rather expensive gift from his grandparents - they paid for some home renovations for us for about $2000. I bought a thank you card today and we are going to also send them a photo of the end result to show how great it turned out since they live across the country and can't see it for themselves. What should I write in the card? Also, our wedding isn't until June so this was an early wedding gift.

i was overwhelmed today to receive your card with the generous, helpful and wonderful check inside that will go toward making our house a home. we are so grateful, it will help get our married life off to a beautiful start. grandma and grandpa, we think of you often and will send a pix of the improvements when they are done, we cant thank you enuf, we love you and are so excited.
