What are some card games for only two players?

I am looking for some card games for two players only... i know how to play the classic kid card games (go fish, war, etc) also i know jen rummy but what are some other adult two player simple card games. To play with "normal" playing cards. THanks for your help!


Texas Hold 'em is the best , but that is not really two player, my is Hearts, that can be played from two to four (take out 2 of diamonds and clubs for two player).

What would she write in a thank you card?

My sister have been studying to be a nurse for the last 3 years.She graduated in january and got a really nice gift from someone she didn´t expect.
Earlier last summer, her neighbour had a visit from her sister ,that lives in the US, and her 3 daughters.They often visited and "babysitted" my sisters kids as she had to study.
To put it bluntly, really nice people, but as the summer ended they had to go home.6 months later at my sisters graduation they sent a really nice graduation gift and a nice card, and now my sister wants to write a nice thank you card ,back to them.
She have no idea how what to say and her english isn´t that good.
What shall she write in the thank you card?


I would suggest something like...
"Thank you so much for your friendship and generosity in sending me such a special gift for my graduation. I certainly appreciate all that you have done for me while I was studying to be a nurse. You are truly a blessing.
Thanks, (sisters name)"
