Please, don't give me links to some card trick websites, I don't understand their explanations. Can you explain, in normal and understandable terms, some cool card trick?

Preparation: Get a deck of cards. Take out the 6 and 9 of spades, and the 6 and 9 of clubs (black cards). You will have a total of 4 cards outside the deck. Place one of the 6's on the bottom and one of the 9's on the top. Now you can do some magic.
Magic Trick: Show someone the two cards in your hand. Lets say the 6 of spades and the 9 of clubs. Tell them to remember these cards. Now put them randomly any into the middle of the deck and tighten the deck so they are "lost".
Now hold the deck between your thumb and other fingers and "toss" it to your other hand. Naturally, the oil on your fingers will cause the top and bottom cards to stick and the rest of the deck will get tossed to your other hand. Show them the cards. MAGIC! The 6 and 9 are there!

Holiday Thank You Cards for Your Wedding
My husband and I had a wedding and vow renewal in the fall of 2008, so we had lots of people to thank for their support and generous gifts. Since we had our vow renewal over Thanksgiving weekend, we had to write our thank you cards during the holiday season. I decided to kill two birds with one stone by ordering holiday cards from Kodak that featured our wedding picture and a greeting I wrote that said both thank you and happy holidays. It was a creative and easy way to send wishes to the many, many people who deserved greetings from us.
The process for creating the card was easy. I just had to pick a picture from the wedding that we liked (and had the right to use thanks to our photographer) and choose a template from Kodak's site . Then, I ordered the necessary number of cards and had them delivered to a store close to my home. A few days later, I picked up the cards and could start mailing them. The downside to a photo card like this is that you can't really write any personal notes about the specific gifts you received. You'll have to add a note card if you want to do that. I know etiquette suggests writing a personal note to each guest, but we had two wedding events in two different countries and 15 house guests in the States. I was about to collapse after all the planning, cooking, cleaning, and laundry I was doing, so I needed something convenient and fast yet creative. This year, I hope to make my holiday cards more personal.
