I have heard people say to do it, but I have never received a thank you card from my child's friends parties. Should I do them for his 4th bday?
I always send thank-you notes. I know your child is still little, but with my older ones, I have a rule that they can't play with it, wear it, spend it, listen to it or read it until the thank-you note is written. All of our friends and relatives send thank-you notes for every gift, no matter what the occasion. Maybe you'll start a trend among your child's friends!

Children don't have the same mental reasoning skills as adults. They simply cannot understand WHY writing a thank-you card is so important, particularly because they don't care whether or not THEY receive a thank-you card when they give a gift to one of their friends. Little kids pick their noses and eat it too, because they haven't developed the mental reasoning skills required to understand societal and cultural norms. As long as you continue to set a good example and pressure them into writing the cards, eventually they will grow into young adults who recognize the importance of doing so.

Green card holders can file a petition for children and spouses only.
Other extended family members are not petitioned by residents, only by citizens.

Approximate Time: 15 minutes Supplies: Paper Ink Rubber stamps Scanner Computer Internet access Simple design program Instructions:
Choose colors of ink that work together; I'd limit it to two.
Choose a few rubber stamps related to each other by theme.
Give your child the rubber stamps and inkpads.
Have them create an image on the paper covering the entire surface in different directions. This will take them no time at all. Ask them to cover the paper and stamp more than once before re-inking. This will insure a bit of value difference in their composition.
Scan the dry artwork into your computer.
