Bridal Shower Thank You Card

I just had my bridal shower, and I'm looking for a little help with what to write in my thank you cards. I have finished all of the cards for those who attended my shower (thanking them for coming to the shower and also for the gift, etc). However I cannot think of what else I can include for those who were not able to come, besides just thanking them for the gift. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

By the time you thank someone for the gift and tell them how much you loved seeing them, your card will be pretty full. Have fun, it can be a daunting task.

I got mostly money and its going to our honeymoon. So how should I word the thank you cards? Please and thank you! lol
I was thinking something like:

Aunt Helen,
It was great seeing you at the shower. I hope you had as much fun as I did! Your gift is going to make our honeymoon even more memorable. I hope to see you at the wedding!

People will like that their gift was acknowledged and appreciated - so what you have satisifies that. I think what you have is great.

If you want to personalize it a little more, you can always say, "your gift will treat us to a great dinner out" or "your gift will take us scuba diving for the first time" or whatever it is that her personal contribution might provide. My cousin did this after their wedding, they were hoping for cash, and we got a note a few weeks later with a photo of them swimming with the dolphins that our gift "made this memory possible." I doubt they specifically said, "this is Adrianne's money we're spending", but it was really cool to see them having a great time, and to know they couldn't have afforded it had I bought them a blender. :)

I am not sure how to word a thank you note for a gift of money or a gift card. These are gifts from people who are unable to attend the shower. How did you word your thank you notes?

I researched this when I did my thank you cards.

The proper thing to do is to make the card personal.

So you state what was given and what you intend to do with it. Tell them you missed them at your shower but hope to visit with them at your wedding/reception.

For instance:

Dear Aunt Mary,

Thank you for the the photo frame. It will be perfect for our wedding photo. I missed you at my shower and hope to visit with you at our reception.

Love,
Jane and Joe

If they gave you money or a gift card, write a short sentence explaining what you are going to buy with it...

"We'll use it to buy a (item) for our home." Or "This will help fund our honeymoon." or "This will be a wonderful addition to our nest egg." and then "Thank you for your generosity."

How do i word the thank you card when I receive several small items from the same person (i.e. hand towels, bathroom rugs, sheets)? How detailed should I get? Some of the guests gave me 10+ items. Does each item need to be listed?

You want be a little specific so the giver knows you're actually writing a personal note to them instead of a generic one. How about something like
Dear Mrs. Smith,
Eric and I were thrilled when we opened the gift from you and Mr. Smith. Wow! Bath towels, rugs for the bathroom, sheets and all of the other goodies were so thoughtful. Eric and I are planning to begin using the sheets when we return from our honeymoon. It was nice to see you at the wedding and we hope you enjoyed yourselves. Again thank you for such a generous gift.

You can mention the 2 or 3 biggest items and then maybe mention one of the smaller ones. If you write this after the wedding mention that you were glad to see them or were so sorry they were unable to come but you know there thoughts were with you. If you know they're coming to the wedding say you're looking forward to seeing them there and if they can't come then you know they're thoughts/prayers are with you both at such a special time in your lives.
