I recently just had a birthday and well now I have to send out 'thank you!' cards.
But I mean, all my family and most of my friends just gave me money.
I mean what am I supposed to say? "Thanks for the 50 bucks!"?
I have no clue what to write. I've never done this before. ha ha.
What would you write?
I'm saving up for a really high tech camera.
Should I put that in there somewhere?

where it says thank you, put this after it "For being there always for me. So this time im being there for you. Happy Birthday!" Hope this helps

Yes, that sounds fine. You could also say "Thanks for your birthday card - I had a great day". "Thanks for thinking of me on my Birthday - it meant a lot", etc.
My great aunt gave me a very fat cheque for my birthday (to, in her words, set me up for future/career)and I want to send a long thank you card. However I'm stumped at how best to express my gratitude, I'm still a bit speechless. Any suggestions for passages?

That can be the starting point for you also The first, most appropriate thing to write would be

It's hard to put something like that in a card.
I started writing some dotpoints but I dont think that will help you.
Possible a phone call might be best, at least then it will flow more freely than something that seems more forced and written on a card.
But also a hand written card, as well as a phone call would be perfect. Maybe even flowers.
Think alot before you make the call just write down your thoughts about what you can do with the money and how its helped you.

i'm a student in my 20's. i basically live paycheck to paycheck. sometimes money is so tight after paying rent that i have to eat soup for a week or two until next payday. $60 can make all the difference ! i'm sure any normal person would be grateful & spend the money on groceries or maybe a nice treat for themselves that they otherwise could not afford. why you would assume all they could buy was candy or a "cheap whore" is beyond me. just because you may be more "well off" than others and $60 is chump change for you, it doesn't give you the right to be such a huge jerk.
