Unique Bridal Shower Invitation

So far I haven't seen any that I like - they are too corny or cutesy or traditional. I am looking for some interesting, different invitations.
Thanks. Maybe I will try that. I am not familiar with graphic design at all, so I usually avoid doing anything like that. I also figured it would cost more to get the software than it would to buy invitations somewhere.

i am throwing a bridal shower in september with a wine tasting theme.

with such a nice theme (and venue i am using) i didn't want a cheesy invite either. so i decided to make them myself.

i designed the invite (with grapes shadowed in the background), RSVP card, and registry insert on MS publisher and then emailed the files to my local officemax.

they printed the invites on the kind of paper i wanted and cut them to the size i wanted. it only took about a day too.

you can also go to your local craft or scrapbooking store (see: archivers.com or michaels.com) and they have the things you will need to construct your own cards. i especially suggest archiver's if you have one near you.

I just read your responce. Yes it may be more expensive to buy the software, however, you would probably use it again.

Or maybe someone you know already has it on their comp and you could just use it, or you could download a pirated version (shhhhh!).

And the program I mentioned above, MS Publisher, should be included in your (generic) Microsoft Office package.

My friend and I are throwing a mardi gras themed bridal shower and are looking for unique or fun sayings for the invites. So far I like "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roule" but I don't know where to go from there or if that is even appropriate. It translates into "let the good times roll" Thank you in advance for your responses.

Everything I've seen online looks the same. There must be more creative ideas out there! Please help!

I got mine at this website called PosePrints.com after I my sister used them for her baby shower. They were so creative! You personalize the invitations with a caricature that looks just like you (by choosing from all sorts of features and accessories and stuff). So for my invitations, I was wearing a veil, engagement ring, etc. They are totally one-of-a-kind and very classy/nice quality. I definitely recommend!

I am throwing a bridal shower for my cousin with a room by room theme. Each guest will be assigned a room of the house this way my cousin doesn't get loaded down with cookie sheets. I really want unique wording for the invitations but I am not very creative. Or cute invitation ideas at all. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The shower is being held at a winery if that makes any difference.

I am looking for funny sayings for the bridal shower invitations and I have been on Goolge all day long. Nothing that I have read through is really that funny and I am not a poet or I would make something up myself.



Any suggestions?

ugh! this is why I hate bridal showers... they're always so boring and difficult to plan without making them cheesy...
