My daughter is graduating and has a couple of teachers she got really close to over the past 4 years. She has had these 2 teachers for all 4 years and she also was a TA for them. They will probably be at graduation anyway, but she is wondering if it is appropriate to send them an invitation/annoucement.
It would be more to make them feel appreciated and special and not a plea for a gift. In fact the invitation would be marked "no gifts please"
Eartha, she is planning on becoming a teacher herself.
I am a bus driver and I know that students do this all the time. Teachers get very attached to the kids and all the people I know of who were invited by a student always attended. Hope this helps

My mother said that some time ago individuals would send a graduation invitation to the president and in turn they would respond with a congratulatory letter. I had never heard of this. Does anyone know what she is talking about?
People extend invitations to the president all the time. For information, see the link below:
I ran out of invitations that were given to us and we still have more people to invite. I want the invitation to sound professional.

I was wondering if graduation invitations needed to have a graduation photo. Would it be "okay" if the invitation didn't have a picture inside? Thanks for the help.
Graduation announcements are much less formal now than they used to be. It is fine to send it without the picture.
I am writing my own high school graduation invitations (and announcements for those space will not allow me to invite.) What is the proper way to write these? I am "homeschooled" but am still participating in a graduation ceremony...Help!!
First take a look at these links, they have sample graduation announcements and invitations for your review. You'll be able to get a good idea of what you want yours to say by reading them:

http://www.mygatsby.com/invitations/etiq uette/
http://graduation.invitations4less.com/S ampleWording.asp
The second link I think is the best, you'll find a lot of good etiquette information there.
I think you'll want to incorporate something personal and unique to you in the announcement/invitation, that will make it a keepsake and something special that folks will want to hold on. Consider your interests and what you'd like people to remember about this time in your life.
I hope this helps, and congratulations on your graduation!
