Inexpensive Bridal Shower Invitation

Does anybody have any suggestions? I want them to be plainish, no hearts or tacky pictures, something simple?
we want to mail them, not email invites

I got great plain pre-cut cards at AC Moore & Michaels (craft stores) on sale for $5 per pack but they regularly are $9 or $10.
They came with envelopes & I was able to run them through my computer printer.
I've used them for EVERYTHING from save-the-date cards to thank you's for our engagement party and even in-a-pinch I've made birthday cards.
They are usually sold in packs of 40 or 50 or sometimes just 10 (smaller packs tend to cost more). Color printers are PERFECT for designing great cards but I even just ran them through my black & white laserjet and used stamps to dress 'em up.

Here is a Breakfast at TIffany's inspired Bridal Shower Invitation. I used the Sweet Hearts Cricut Cartridge to cut out the ring Hawaiian ...

The bridal shower is going to be fabulous cocktail party with wonderful decorations, hor deourves and expensive favors, and I thought it would help with mingling and be fun if everyone bought a bottle of their favorite (inexpensive) wine...so is it bad manners? If it is ok, what is the best way to word it on the invitation?

I am planning an Around the Clock Bridal shower theme for my cousin. I think I am going to make my own invitations as I can't find any inexpensive invitations as there will be a lot fo people coming. Does anyone know where to get inexpensive invitations or what I should do to make my own invitations? What To put on the front and any other ideas are greatly appreciated...Thanks!!!

If you can, get some blank invitations that can be printed on the computer. Find a piece of clip-art that's a clock -- the old-fashioned twin-bell kind is cute -- and use that as the centerpiece of the front of your invitations. Add some fun wording about around the clock or time or some such thing.

Inside, if you can arrange it, it would be fun to have tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock running across the top and bottom of the page in a fun font.

If you don't have access to a good printer, make up one page with two invitations on it by hand and go down to your local Kinko's or other office supply shop. Make 2-sided photocopies. At 2 invitations per page, it shouldn't be too terribly expensive. Make sure you have everything lined up correctly first, of course. You'll need to buy what they call "invitation\ envelopes." These are made to hold a half-sheet of 8.5"x11" paper folded in half.
