Holiday Invite

I have the whole invite worded appropriately up to this point. I just don't know how to include this final bit of info. The company will be footing the bill for a hotel room for the night after the party for any employees and their guests who do not want to travel to hopefully prevent driving under the influence. How would you suggest I word this?

Hotel rooms will be provided for all guests who choose not to travel.

Leave out the "under the influence" bit.... don't want to presume they are drunk :D even if they are!

If I or a frined invite people to a holiday party at my house that are over 18 but under 21, and they drink before they come or bring their own drink am I legally responsible for them and should I ask them to leave or would I be really legally responsible as long as I do not serve the drinks to them?

It is not the same as drinks to a minor is it? I mean so someone under 21 is still a "minor"?
I mean am like going to jail possibly responsible if something happened or just risk of being sued?

In most states, whether the minor consumes prior to your party, at your party or is served at your party, you are allowing him/her to consume alcohol, which makes you responsible even liable should they get into a car after the party and get into a fatal accident. YOU get sued by the people involved in the accident. What's more is that he could sue you, his good buddy and friend, for allowing him to consume alcohol then drive. If you want to take on that much responsibility, it's your neck.

Advise checking with the laws in your state and your home owner's or rental insurance coverage. Might be a good thing for you to know if they'll cover such an irresponsible act.

Hi Everyone -

I am looking for creative and fun ideas on how to word a holiday party evite. The party will be for friends at a bar with ages ranging from 21-35ish.

One year I had a Christmas party, so some friends and I looked for some naughty Christmas pictures on line. We found people in Santa outfits and whips, and we cut and paste our faces on the body's which made for a very funny picture. The invite said " Have you been naughty or nice". My friends loved it and still have the invitation from 4 years ago. If it your friends make sure your humor comes through, and the invite represents the party(no overly nice invitations for a fun drink fest)

The big date is Dec. 13th. When should I send out my invites? I want it far enough in advance that people can schedule me in, but I don't want it to be too early and have people think, "why the heck am I getting a holiday invite already!?"

I would send it 4-5 weeks ahead (so probably somewhere around Nov. 10-15th). Normally I'd send an invite 3-4 weeks ahead, but at holiday time people have a lot more social commitments, so I'd go a little earlier, hence 4-5 weeks.

I'm inviting mostly couples and a few select singles for cocktails at my home. With that said, I want the gift exchange to include romantic gifts ranging from $10-15. How do I word it without it sounding like a swinger party?! I want it to be sexy but classy.

Bring a Secret Santa gift for less than $15. Let's have a little fun and try to make our friends blush. (you will remain anonymous....lol)

You might want to try to work the words 'naughty but nice" into your invitation too.

Surprised you didn't get more responses. Re-ask this question and use "SEXY holiday invitation help" as the header.
