Halloween Party Invite

i know its ages away but im very organised :)
my mums going out for halloween and she said i could have a party with a some of my mates. it'd be 14-15 year olds..
how many people should i invite so the party's good but my house doesnt get trashed.
(baring in mind my mum wants me to invite like 5-10 people.. but hey she won't be in =] )

I am inviting 7 people to my party. It also depends on how much you can spend, More people more money you need, food, drinks, decorations. If you moms going to pay for it all that's one thing but if you got to cough some money up i would keep in mind use what you have in the house and don't make it over-done it sometime ruins it. have a few games, have snacks out like, pretzels, chicken wings, pigs in a blanket. And then call it weird names like, skeleton bones (pretzels), Chicken wings (bat wings) pigs in a blanket (mini mummy's)
and stuff that don't cost much as long as you stay on a budget you will be fine inviting as many people as you want.

My daughter is having a halloween sleepover birthday party. She wants to invite every girl in the grade. There are 24 girls not including her in the grade. How many girls should I let her invite?

yikes 24 girls running around! now that truly is scary.

how many do you feel you can handle foodwise and have room for? if you only have room for 6 maybe suggest to your daughter in order to accomodate everyone she should have a regular party halloween themed of course. that is if shes adamant about inviting everyone. otherwise tell her to pick however many will fit.

Good Afternoon Everybody!

My husband & I just moved into our new home in April of this year. We live on 3 acres and most of the people around us live on that much or more. We are planining to have a Harvest/Halloween Party on the 27th of next month. We would like to invite some of the neighbors that live around us. We do not know a soul here. So how can we go about doing this???? We are mailing the invites to everybody. It is just going to be a nice party. No meal just a side dish pot luck that everybody can do. So I need help in the following:
1. How to address the letter on the outside since I do not know anybody's names.
2. What to say on the invite. And how to tell people that it is not a costume party with out being rude.
3. Do you have a recipe that would make a good sidedish for this party.
4. Any fun ( not scary or gross) decroating ideas for the house for the party??

Most of the neighbors have gates and we can't just open them up and go to their house and interduce ourselves Any other ideas?????

I think the first answerer was right on there Jen.
Just go "door to door" and invite them or just put the envelopes in their mail boxes simply addressed, "neighbor".
I cant see alot of people showing up since rural households dont get many halloween visitors (trick-or-treaters). Thats why Malls and bigger suburban neighborhoods get hit hard with the little candy seekers!
