It is gray, 6-7 inches tall. Short tail, stubby legs and arms. Protruding teeth and small velvet ears. Bought in 1989. Looks somewhat like a groundhog. The label has been removed.

About five years ago, I bought a stuffed animal for a friend in a local gift shop. There was an entire colletion of them - they were all cats with little names and stories on their tags, in different colors, with butterfly wings, a crown, and jewelry. The collection I bought this one from was a birthstone collection - the cats were named Sapphire, Ruby, Pearl, etc. I bought Sapphire for her, as it was her birthstone, and she loved her very much. However, in a recent move, a box fell off of the truck and Sapphire was lost. I've been trying to find out the maker of these toys (I don't believe it was Gund, but I could be wrong), and where I might be able to order a replacement. If anyone even remembers what these toys were called, it would be greatly appreciated! I've already looked on Ebay to no avail.
Sounds like a very unfortunate story...and I'd really like to help you but I have never heard of them...I know it's probably silly... but have you tried doing some google searches?

I'm trying to figure out what company and or products a plush toy commercial was from I think the early 90s. It had kids on a farm and a tree running around with the animals that seemed like dogs. I think some kind of country music was playing. I thought it might possibly be for Gund Toys, but I haven't seen the commercial since. Thanks

Baby Books Recalled by Gund Incorporated for Choking Hazard
On April 6, 2010, Gund Incorporated issued a recall on several infant books in its baby paperback line. The baby books were confirmed to create a choke hazard for small children. In support of the company, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission also issued a warning to consumers about the product.
Information on Baby Books by GundThe baby books involved in the recall are sold together in a set of three. The paperbacks could be purchased in specialty stores in the United States and Canada. The books were produced from January 2009 to March 2010. The individual books could be purchased for about $8 but the complete set was usually about $20.
The sets could be purchased in a clear carrying case. The infant books were 4 ½ inches by 7 inches and had white covers with an animal face on the front. The company name was located on the upper left side of the cover. There were colorful beads attached to the spines on all of the books.
