I'm planning my son's 2nd Birthday party, and I was wondering if evite was better, or if I should send an invitation? I think that sending an Evite is definitely easier, but I was wondering if it was tacky. We're planning something casual in our yard, with a bounce house and maybe a pony. I was thinking of doing a cowboy theme. Anyways, any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would go with regular mail, even though evite is easier. My only reason is that people monitor regular mail more closely than email.

I need to know how to state the time of day in a party invitation, but in cowboy slang. For instance, if the party is going to be at 5, what is a good way to say this, but sound like a cowboy?

Five O'Clock would work just fine. Cowboys could tell time.
Five hours past Noon would also work but it would make you sound like a Dandy, Pilgrim!
I've also heard 'Five Ticks past the Noon Hour' but you might get guests arriving at 12:05.

Vintage Western Cowboy Kids Party Invitations

I want to know what to expect before I accept? Is this something you would have to dress for. My wardrobe is limited to cowboy boots and jeans for the most part.

A hoe down is a country dance party. Sometimes held in a barn or dance hall. If you're lucky the band will be live with a fiddler and some "pickers".
Generally casual dress is appropriate and boots are a must if you wanna line dance. Expect good eats and plenty of it. Often casual food is served like hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and corn on the cob. This varies however.
I think you should go, especially if you have never been to one.
They're a hoot! Plus a great way to meet new people!

they may not have that exact look but they will be able to customize the design.
