How far in advance should we send out First Holy Communion invitations? Also is it okay to have an open house? Otherwise we have to rent a place and we don't have the money for that.
Give 2 weeks notice minimum but no more than 4 weeks. You want to ensure that they have an opportunity to make arrangements to be there.
As for the Open House - sure - have one at your house.

Dear Friend!
i want to invite You for My First Communion
Hope to see you this April 30 at 5pm
address/ Your Name
I'm 1, and my friend is having her First Holy Communion (we're Catholic). The invitation said "Dress to Impress", but I'm not exactly sure what to wear.
I meant to say that I'm 13.
You will be in church, at one of the Catholic faith's most joyous and happy occasions. You should not try to out-dress the celebrants; however, you should wear nice clothing.
Think a pretty spring dress with sleeves, not too short. Think a pretty slacks outfit with tasteful accessories. Think nice shoes and appropriate hosiery. Think a suit and tie (if you're a guy) or nice slacks and a dress shirt and sweater. Think comfortable, clean, and stylish.
Do not wear jeans, shorts, prom dresses, sleeveless or strapless gowns, or inappropriate styles for a church setting (goth, punk, grunge, torn clothing, etc.) Remember you are there to help your friend celebrate her first Holy Communion and not draw attention to yourself.
Price:
$9.99
$7.81
Beautifully designed in white 80 lb. card stock with white pearlized trim.
12 Invitations: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch; 12 envelopes: 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 inch
Great for first communion, confirmation, baptism, wedding, quinceanera or other religious occasions.
You'll want to write:
your name, date of the mass, parish where the mass will be held, time of the mass, time and location of the reception, and a phone number for people to contact you.
If there is still extra room, a bible quote would be a fun thing to include.
We have a huge family so we are doing an open house for our son's first communion. Do we need to put an RSVP request on there for food and drink reasons? Or just expect that if they can't come, they will let us know?
place RSVP on your invites, you need to budget for guests and that includes family ones and you need to know numbers so you can calculate how much food is needed

Abiding « Come & See
.” It is a very funny and awkward moment in the movie.
As funny as that line is, I really do hate good-byes. I am not a fan when things end. I don’t like saying good-bye to good times with friends after a good meal or a coffee date. I get bummed when a fun party or barbeque ends for the night. I hate when things end such as: good movies, sunsets, vacations, adventures, good conversations, and even some life dreams.
We are constantly experiencing things with endings. After these things end, we move on, we carry on to the next thing. The only common denominator going to the next thing with you, is you.
There is an invitation Christ gives every person that goes against...
