Christening Card

Hi I would just like some information, in a chirsitening card do you write it too the baby whose being chirstand or the parents or both ? also where having a debate of weather Aunty is spelt as Antie or Aunty, as Im saying you spell it with the Y if its just 1 aunt and Auntie and then put an s on the end if its more than 1 aunt like aunties, but maybe I am wrong.

Address it to the parents as the baby is unlikely to be able to read.

You might be better to use the word Aunt as Auntie sounds rather babyish like doggy instead of dog.

The text on the card reads:

(front) "As you little girl is being christened
God Bless you
God Keep you
God love you
(inside) May you feel heaven blessed today and always"

What do I put with that?

And do I address it to the parents only, baby only or 'Dear Chloe and family)?

I went and found our Naming Day Cards today, to see what people wrote in them. lol!!

The cards were addressed to our son's. Dear William & Dear Tobias.
I rang my God-Daughters Mother up and she said the cards were all addressed to her Daughter, Even mine (It has been 7 years)

Between us, we like this one.

If all else fails, the majority of our cards were signed

I am attending the Christening of a friend's baby girl (Church of England) and will be taking a present and a card.

Does any kind person have any suggestions as to a suitable message to write in the card.

Help please, the baptism is today!

I think you already have a nice card purchased. That can be placed in her baby book and will be a nice remembrance.
Just write "God bless you on this special day".
If you want to add a scripture; that would be nice. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. I also like the Aaronic blessing. Numbers 6:25 "The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace".
