Candy Theme Invitation

The theme is Candy Land. We're having bright colors everywhere and also a soft serve ice cream machine. The baby is a girl and her name will be Madelyn (Mady). The guests of honors names are Kristi and Danny.

That is a wonderful idea for a baby shower and you could have a lot of fun with the wording. I would recommend something like:

"Down colorful pathways, over Rainbow Trails, past Peppermint Forests and Gumdrop Pass, you are invited to celebrate the sweetest of adventures. Kristi and Danny would be honored to meet you at Candy Castle to celebrate the soon to be arrival of Mady."

or

"Please join Kristi and Danny at the start of their sweetest adventure; the shower for their own little gumdrop, Mady."

I'm throwing a surprise party for my friend... And I'd like to throw her a CANDY themed Graduation Party. I'd like to find great ideas for invitations, favors etc...

What about making invitations out of regular paper, but wrap it around a candybar. Ask each guest to wear something candy themed. Also, ask each guest to bring their favorite kind of candy. Maybe make it a retro theme to remember the candy that was the best when you were younger. Candy necklaces, ring pops, bracelets, etc...

Put out the old candyland game and encourage everyone to play. I like the M&M idea, but I prefer to buy them and seperate them myself. Then use these as a centerpiece. I also saw a cute cupcake arrangement that looked like an M&M. Red cupcakes with the face and M piped on the top. Then they piped with frosting the legs and arms. It is on Cakecentral.com, but in order to view it you have to join.

Besides that, I would serve Pizza! Have an ice cream bar with all kind of candy toppings.

Wow. I love this theme :] I was actually thinking of doing this one myself when I turn 16!

Invitations:
-Hand out chocolate bars with instead of the brand name on the front it says "Your Invited!" then instead of the nutrition facts it says the party details

-Give a candy basket to each person with lolipops arranged like a flower arrangement and instead of soil there can be custom M&Ms (http://www.mymms.com/) with your initials on them. Then in the center can be the invitation

Favors: Candy jewelry (rings and necklaces) then a customized pair of sweatpants that say your name on the butt and then on the left-hand side on the front it should have a lollipop with "[your name]'s sweet 16" written over it

Decoration Ideas: Rent out a large venue and book a DJ.

-Decorate the floor like a large version of the Candyland board game.
-Have a cotton candy booth
-Have candy randomly scattered all over the floor
-Have colored lights projecting lollipops and candy canes on the walls
-Decorate the entrance with life-sized candy canes (and have a red carpet for you to walk down)
-Serve jell-o martinis in cocktail glasses with mini dum-dum lollipops in each glass (dip the rim of each glass in sugar)
-Have brightly colored streamers all over the place
-Instead of a large cake, have a lot of mini cupcakes with gummy lifesavers on each of them

These are just a few ideas :] It may be a bit extreme and costly for a small-gathering though.

For a small gathering:
-Have a CD player with a mix of techno song
-Give out candy for favors
-Decorate the space with streamers
-Have a candyland playing area for guests
-Bake a large cake and have fun with it :]

ok so im having a party and i want to incorporate a candy theme. the is Still very fancy and chic though...its not like a kids party or anything.
the colors im using are pink and green and i need some ideas for really nice invitations. ive already thought of doing like those gourmet lollipops with all the info for the party attached but i need some more ideas. some thing really cool maybe using candy...or maybe like a regular fancy invitation (like on card stock and printed) but with some that has to do with candy...

please help me!

You could create your invitation at CropMom, which is an online card-making and scrapbooking site at http://www.cropmom.com. One idea would be use CropMom's candy alphabet letters that are in the Halloween Fun kit.

If you make your invitation at CropMom, you can purchase the print-quality, high-resolution JPEG file then print your invitation at home or, better yet, have it printed by a photo service like Shutterfly or Snapfish. If you have it printed by Shutterfly or Snapfish, use the layout as the cover to your invitation, then use the photo service's card-making tool to add details about the party on the inside.

I would probably then glue or tape a piece of candy or lollipop to the card once I got it back from the photo service.

my theme is candy. there will be cute little lollipops on the invitation. but i need a saying to put on it. that's cute & sweet and not totally lame. something that starts out the invite so i can finish with all the party info. any ideas?
