Boxed Photo Card

What do you guys think of this?

I love it. Im big on the DIY things for my wedding and i love this idea....Even if you wanted to make it bigger you could take 3 different size hat boxes and do a cake photo looking card box!!!

So I was over at a friend's place and decided to view the photos we took earlier. There was this one photo which was on its side so I decided to rotate it - as it was rotating, my friend was unaware of it and accidentally pulled out the card.

All I see in the thumbnail is just a gray box but it still takes up the space on the card.

How can I recover it? Thanks.

I'm never sure if I should address it to John & Mary Smith, Mr & Mrs Smith or Mr & Mrs John Smith?? It seems silly to be so formal with my closest friends & family at such a personal time of year. Also, how should I address cards to Mary Doe (mother) and John (father) and Joe/Sally (child(ren)) Smith?

Does the formality make a difference if I am sending (personalized) photo cards with pre-printed messages as opposed to box cards with handwritten messages?

IYO, which is more personal/thoughtful- personalized photo card, pre-printed message, handsigned or box card, written message AND handsigned?

I think signed cards are more personable then pre-printed cards, but if you have a ton to send out, I could see why you would want to do that.
I always address my cards to: example-James & Kathy Smith. If they have children: James Smith and Family. I wouldn't use Mr. & Mrs., it seems to formal for Christmas cards. Just my opinion.

I'm using a picture of my son sitting in a wrapped box and my daughter sitting next to it with the cover - essentially looking like she just opened a present and he was in it.

Perhaps something like - Look what Santa gave me! I hope he brings you something just as wonderful this holiday season!

I'm asking this to help me seperate them for value & reduce space. I have come across many hundreds, maybe thousands of baseball cards from the 1987-1991 period, some still in boxes, all in pristine condition and I want to reduce quantity without tossing something of value.

Of course all of the things you've mentioned play a big part. But...if you have a card of a star or hall of famer, one of the main things that card collectors look for is centering. If the picture and info is not exactly centered, it won't be worth nearly as much as one that is.

You should also check into "grading" the ones you think would be the most valuable. Different companies will inspect your card and give it a 1-10 grade. They check for centering, not bent corners, discoloring, etc. Hope this helps!
