I'm trying to print my baby shower invitations but my husband bought specific baby shower invitation paper from staples. The box says "go to file, page setup, paper size and adjust paper size to 4 3/4" wide by 8" high. I have microsoft publisher and the numbers are not like that, instead they are like "2.555 x 5.666" . I am so lost!! Please tell me how to change 4 3/4' wide by 8' high to a decimal or if theres even a better program to make invitations because this is so confusing & when i try to print them its not even covering the whole paper. any kind suggestions will be appreciated .
I cannot help with that...but would suggest putting your question on a computer section...and re-title your question so it has to do with printing...or desktop publisher,
Hope it helps!
A gift I made for my friends baby shower :) A clothes flower pot & and endless gift box.....2 gifts in one! Enjoy Whorha!
I am having a baby shower in august, i would like to order some "jungle or safari or even just monkey" themed invitations .i need about 50 and i don't want to spend $75 or $100 dollars on them... Thanks in advance...
Please no rude or negative comments, i expect the same respect i give to others with questions. thanks.
Also I have googled "inexpensive/cheap" invitations and everything that comes up is like $2. a invitation..like $75 for a box of 50, i just wanna spend less...
katie...the ones you were talking about on vista..how did you get 23.99?? they are 9.99 for a pack of 10..
Sorry again *21.99 - its one of those days lol

I'm having my third daughter and would like to give her a baby shower too. Only thing is, our youngest is only 18 months old and we have EVERYTHING..!
So... I was thinking of having a baby shower but with men and women invited, having a bbq or some sorta lunch, still playing the games (I think it'd be funny for the guys to play the girlie games!!) but on the invitations, instead of saying "no gifts please," how do I say we're going to have a donation box so we can give a cheque to either the Children's Hospital or SIDS (some childrens' charity) etc
Also, I have had some mixed responses about this idea. My s-i-l says don't bother having one if we're not going to accept gifts but I really want to.. What do you think?
Advice much appreciated!
I think this is a great idea. It's a good time for you and your friends & family to get together before the baby and it also helps others. You could say something like "we're inviting you to welcome our baby girl with joy. But instead of blankets, bottles, and toys. How about donating to a charity please... That helps other babies who are in need." Just an idea of what you can do. Hope it works out and I think that's awesome of you!
I have trouble getting in and out of our car as I have a really sore pelvic bone, so it takes me a few minutes to get in and out, and I REALLY don't want to get in and out of the car every few minutes to hand out baby shower invites... is it okay if my fiance drops them off in my friends/families mail boxes? Like I really don't feel like getting out and knocking on the door, standing in the cold waiting for them to answer, then chatting for a few minutes, at every persons house lol... So basically I want to know if it's okay to drop invitations in my guests mailboxes :) Thanks!!
PS I am 7 months pregnant lol
I would say if you're going to do it this way just mail them. Otherwise you'll get the question "How come you didn't stop in and say hi?" over and over and over again. I've recieved many invitations via mail and I think its just fine to do it that way. Its however you'd like to do it truthfully. If its too uncomfortable to hand deliver them, than don't people will understand.
I've already ordered the invitations, but I'm including a map in the envelope with a message about where the momma to be is registered and I'd also like to add in something about doing a diaper raffle......I'm thinking a box of wipes would be worth one raffle ticket and a package of diapers worth 2 raffle tickets and then doing a drawing at the end of the shower for something like a 25 dollar gift card to target or barnes and noble or something. But the raffle would be seperate from any shower gifts. Is this a good idea and how would you word it?
This is what I am thinking
Diaper Raffle:
To add a little extra glee and help the parents-to-be, please bring a little extra from the heart, an unwrapped pack of diapers to give them a good start.
For bringing one extra (unwrapped) package of diapers you will be given one ticket to be entered into a raffle for a nice prize! This is completely optional & only an additional game for the shower.
I think it's a good idea. I would make a separate little card explaining what you want to do and stick it in with the invitation.
