My daughter's having a Spongebob birthday party for her 6th birthday in a couple weeks. She met Spongebob at the Nick hotel a couple months ago, so I took the photo of her with him and cropped out all the background so it's just the two of them on the front of the invite. For the top I wrote, "Ever since Avery met the big sponge, a Spongebob party was due!" Although I don't like that line and don't know what to put there instead. Would appreciate any suggestions!

"Come to Avery's birthday way under the sea"

"At this party, Spongebob will be the only square"

"Soak in the fun at Avery's Spongebob party"

"At Avery's party, the only thing crabby will be the patties!"

is it wrong to put a childs clothis size on birthday invite? A lot of people i know do it, but recently someone told me it was bad etiquette, and just tell them if they ask. What do you think?

It is definitely bad etiquette. An invitation to a party should include the information about the party only. Any references to gifts, whether it is clothing sizes or registry information, should not be included.

That goes for birthday parties, showers, weddings--everything. You are asking people to join you for a celebration, not their gifts. If they want information about sizes, they can call you to ask.

My son is 3 and was invited to a birthday party that I can't go to because I have no car. They said they would pick him up but I don't know them that well to send my son with them. What do I say so that they don't feel bad or come back and say Oh we can meet so he can go? Does that make sense?? thanks.

I say be honest. If they are offended by your reasoning then let them. Any good parent would understand and not want their 3 yr old to go off with ppl they didnt know well eitehr

We are planning to have our daughter's 4th birthday at our house in December, but we are afraid that someone may come over when they are sick. We have a 2 month old baby and with flu season here, we do not welcome any germs especially since we have a newborn. How do we tell invited guests not to come over to our house if they or their kids are sick?

Tag on a little statement at the bottom of the invite. It's all about the wording:

"We understand that it's cold and flu season and we understand if you can't make it because you aren't feeling well."

"If you aren't feeling well, and can't make it due to the cold and flu season we understand."

"It's cold and flu season. We are battening down the hatches and trying to stay well ourselves. So if you can't make it because you aren't feeling well, no worries. We understand."

EDIT:

The only way this works is to SEND an invite! Don't just randomly, word of mouth tell people about the party. Keep it very formal invitation wise... RSVP if necessary.
