What are some clever wording ideas?
The invites are coming as messages in a bottle.

Surf over and join [your name] for a fun-in-the-sun beach bash to celebrate her 14th birthday!

My nephew and son are having a pool party for their birthday (they're birthdays are 2 days apart so we combine them). I got these really cute invitations that are actual beach balls you write the information on. My question is, should I include a little note with more information (actually stating that it's a pool party, food will be provided, please bring a towel, etc.)? Would that be considered weird to include an actual invitation AND a note on the detail of the party?

If it's a pool party, you DEFINITELY want to include that on the invitation! Otherwise, no one will wear bathing suits or bring towels! ... Food, of some type, is expected, and if it's over a lunch hour, then real food of some type should be served too (pizzas would be easiest) .......

Hi, I need ideas for my beach party/bonfire/barbeque. I'm turning 13 on August 16. A few questions below:

1. When should I send invitations?
2. What should be the RSVP date?
3. Should I mail the invitation, or hand deliver?

I'm thinking of either doing a simple invitation with the necessary info on the theme colored cardstock. Or I can do a message in a bottle.

1. Where should I buy the bottle?
2. What should be in it?

1. I would say send invitations at least a week before and no later so people can work it out, but no earlier than two weeks before so people don't forget

2. I find it better not to put an RSVP date on there, but it kinda depends on how many people you plan to invite

3. Mailing invitations is a lot better, due to time and where they live, unless all the people you're inviting live in your neighborhood, then you save on postage.........

I think you should do just a simple invitation with info, because you can get cool designs on invitations. Also you could add your own touch to the cards by decorating them yourself.........message in a bottle is creative but complicated......like mailing and finding supplies............

I'm the bride & to keep all feedback honest, I won't say what the level of formality that I am going for. The wedding will be held ocean side at sunset. I want to print "beach chic" on the invitations, but I want to first ensure that most people will interpret it in the way that I do.
*oops, what the level of formality that I am going for is...sorry, missed a word :O) Since it is a destination wedding, I'm trying to make everything as easy as possible for my guests!

I'd wear an elegant sundress, not to be confused with something I'd wear during the day to a picnic. But, maybe the type of sundress you'd wear to church on Sunday.

For the men, I'd say Khaki with a button down. Even black pants and a button down would be OK. A little more formal, but still appropriate.

I have the pic already done, Its a pic of the beach boys, and i got a photo of the guy who is retireing and inserted his pic into it with photoshop, but I dont know what to write for the invitation part or the main eye catching title .
