So, we have no idea what to make that she can eat because she doesn't eat meat (obviously)
Menu:
Chicken Salad
Hamburgers
Hot Dogs
Chicken
Macaroni Salad <-- only veggie dish
What should we make?
These are all great ideas, but for lunch? I don't think they are filling enough. Any main dishes?!
Instead of stressing yourself out trying to figure out what she might like, give her a call and ASK her what she would like. Does she eat fish? Does she eat eggs and drink milk? Little questions like these can make a difference in what you serve and what she'll eat.
By asking her what she can eat, or what she would like to eat, you won't offend her, but rather, she'll appreciate you for asking, and for trying to accomodate her needs, as well as making her feel more comfortable at your BBQ.
IF she eats fish, I would grab some salmon, or whatever fish she likes, and grill that special for her, or add that to your BBQ menu for everyone to enjoy.
Portabella mushrooms are a favorite among lots of vegans, as well as non vegans. The mushroom caps are meaty and stand up well grilled. You can even use them like a burger, grill them, add some seasonings, then throw them on a bun with your favorite burger toppings.
Also think about side items. It wouldn't hurt to buy some squash and zuccini and serve them off the grill.
The macaroni salad sounds very good, but I would also offer a regular salad as well. Maybe your guests don't like macaroni salads, I know plenty of people who don't, but most people love regular salads too, and enjoy them with a great BBQ.
A beautiful Invitation to a Wonderful Pacific BBQ. Would You like to Come?
I'm 17 and I wanna have throw a barbeque for memorial day weekend, however I want it to be more than that I want people to be dancing?? I dont have much time, so can someone please give me some great ideas, should I hand out invitations, should there be a dress code How should I decorate And should I have it in the daytime or night??, Also its in my back yard, however I have a nice size back yard???
It's about too late for mailed invitations. Why don't you do an eVite invitation AND make phone calls to confirm.
Forget the dress code for a BBQ. Make sure you've got a way to play music outside. Do you have an outside sound system? Outdoor speakers?
I love to string up outdoor lights (you'll probably need extension cords). Tiki torches and lots of candles. Don't forget bug repellent.
Your party should probably start around 3-4pm. Get the grills going. Play games and socialize. Have the food ready by 4-5pm. When the sun starts to go down. Turn on the outdoor lights and crank the music.
I'd go get some old school games like Twister, Lawn Darts, Corn Hole, Hula Hoops, bubbles & squirt guns. Make sure to get some sparklers. Maybe buy a few disposable cameras and let people take photos -- Have the photos uploaded to Flickr.com or some other photo share site the next day.

Backyard birthday BBQ
brisket and beer
even horseshoes
Do the invited need to bring anything?
I think if you drew a cool picture or even made a collage of random pictures or pictures of you guys that would be a cool background.
I am looking elegant for ideas on decor, flowers, favors, invitations, food, drinks, etc. The shower will be from 4 to 8 pm. They are having a baby boy, by the way. And it will be a couples shower - meaning that along with the father, men will be invited.
This can be made well ahead of time and is ultra easy.
CHOPPED PORK SANDWICHES
1 6-7 lb Pork Roast (Boston Butt/Shoulder)
Demon Pig BBQ Rub
2 bottles "Demon Pig BBQ Sauce"
Trim Excess fat from roast. Sprinkle with Demon Pig BBQ Rub.
Cook on grill with indirect heat at 225/250 degrees for 6 hours to an internal temp of 160 degrees. (This can be done in an oven or bbq smoker.)
Place in pan with 1/2 cup water, cover and place back on heat for one hour to finish 190 internal temp. Remove from heat, let stand 30 minutes. Careful uncover. Let stand an additional 15 minutes.
Pull and chop meat to just under bite size pieces.
Warm "Demon Pig BBQ Sauce" slightly and mix thoroughly until lightly covered throughout meat. Serve additional sauce warm on the side.
Serve on buns with your favorite sides.

Quick & Easy BBQ Beans
2 Large cans Pork & Beans ( About 28 oz)
½ pound Pork Breakfast Sausage (Spicey sausage works too!)
1Bottle "Demon Pig BBQ Sauce"
Drain beans, saving liquid. Brown and crumble sausage into very small pieces.
Mix all ingredients gently in an ovenproof pan. If necessary, add bean liquid to thin. More water may be needed while heating.
Heat covered slowly for one hour in a 300 degree oven. Stir after 30 minutes.
If you are in a big hurry, this an be don on the stop top, but must be stirred almost constantly to prevent burning.
Serve with any main course.
I got married in january....small but cute wedding ^_^ we decided we're going to do the reception in august, but just the reception! we just want to do a barbeque for the families that didn't get to come
so what should my invitation say? i want it to be short and sweet but at the same time not too fancy
Dear ___ , since we are enjoying every moment of our marriage we would like to celebrate our union again and we would be honored to have you as a guest. And in the end you can say something like: Thank you for being a part of our big family.
