Baby Shower Invite

I recieved an invite to a baby shower that says how everyone has bought them so much and they have everything now but a few things and then goes onto say but if you must bring a gift then a donation would be appreciated. Is it me? or is it the done thing nowadays to EXPECT rather than be grateful for anything you may get for nothing? This is family, i don't know what to reply and even my best friend who has an answer for everything is speechless! For some reason i am angered!
She's my stepdaughter and even my husband (the new grandpa) shook his head in disgrace!

I would make a donation in their name to a charity and then send them a card telling them about their donation....

I work at a small company. One of my co-workers is expecting and her friend/co-worker is planning it while another co-worker is hosting. There are only 10 women at my company and all of them have been invited to the shower. I am friendly with most of these women, but the expectant mother is bossy and we've never had a friendly chat in the 2 years we've worked together. I'm 23 but all these other women are 30ish and unbelieveably excited about babies/baby showers . I was asked directly by the woman planning the shower in front of my other co-workers which weekend day i was free in the upcomming months. I was so surprised by the confrontation and assumption that i was attending, i told her that saturdays are fine. There are no paper invitations, just blanket emails with shower details (gift registry) so i haven't actually been "asked" if i'm comming. Also, i'm afraid if i decline by saying i'm not free (it's a month away) they'll ask for a better time and then run it by everyone.

Well, it's your choice, to accept, and hope that will make things better with the bossy one, or say no, thanks.
If it were me, I would wait a bit, say I can't be there, something has come up, and no, you do not have to make an excuse. And send a small but cute gift with someone.
It isn't nice to ambush someone into doing anything, it's rude. But I'm sure that wasn't their intent, probably they were trying hard not to exclude anyone. Or maybe just trying to keep things informal. With only ten women around, hard feelings would be tough to deal with.
It might go better if after you say no, you would show a little interest. Say, I'm so sorry I couldn't, where is she doing her shopping? Or, what is the nursery theme? But you do not have to, you can get whatever present you want.

My boyfriend want to be include to the shower invite but none of his family member are able to Baby cuz we live in another state and the ones that live here he don't want to invite should I add he anyway?

No, but make sure his name is on the wedding invitation.

You know how people do holiday cards with there picture...where can I do a baby shower invite with a picture of the ultrasound? I want them to be cheap like the holiday/picture cards.

I made my own invitations for the baby shower I'm throwing my best friend. I printed my design on photo paper to mail like a postcard. I've got all the information (when, where, RSVP info) on the front, but I need to put where she's registered on the back. I don't want to just put "The parents to be are registered at _, _, and _. I hope to see you there." What would you suggest?

maybe you could put the "parents names" have registered at "______________" where many gifts and things "the parents names" think may be perfect for their baby... Hope to see you there.

so for example:

"Anne and John have registered at __________________ where many gifts and things Anne & john think may be perfect for their little girl/boy on the way... hope to see you there."
