A family that is friends with me and my husband got us 2 big baskets and 1 toy box filled with great baby shower gifts, It is a LOT of stuff!
I just want to know how to send out a thank you card for that, I know you are suppose to kind of include a note about everthing you got from a person in the card so that it feels more personal, but I don't think I can thank them for every individual thing and have it fit in one card...what should I do?
Just give a general thank you for all the gifts and how you are so appreciative that they tried to cover all your needs. Mention the toy box and how you plan to use it. Mention the baskets if you can use those as well (great laundry hampers, or for storing diaper supplies in other rooms). Just pick one or two of the things and mention those specifically. If you write a big long list, it sounds insincere- which I know is the last thing you want to be.

I plan to have a wishing well or card box at my shower. I plan to open all the "gifts" at the shower so people can "oooh and ahhh" over the cute baby clothes...that's what showers are all about :) However, I was going to wait until after the shower to open the cards from the wishing well that could contain gift cards/money. Is this rude? I don't want the card-giving people to feel like other people may think they didn't bring a gift, you know? I know I can simply open the cards and discreetly remove the money/gift card, but I'd really rather just open all those cards later at my house.
what i did was open the cards w/money and or gift cards and the thanked whoever it was from and put it back in the envelope and to my side...this way the people wont feel left out and you wont worry about losing whats inside...congrats on your upcoming little one and have a great shower!!!

I want to keep these cards but I am not sure what to do with them besides leave them in a box to be sifted through. I am doing my daughters scrapbook and I thought maybe I could include them somehow but I need some ideas.
Set a goal to preserve the special & unique--and cull the cards that are run of the mill or from your boss' wife's sister. Maybe only 2 or 3 cards of the bunch should be kept whole.
Cut out cute graphics from your discards to embellish the pages. Cut out the signatures from the cards, or even the interior message & signature, and make separate scrapbook pages for each shower you had. Each page or spread of 2 pages can serve as a "guest book" for your daughter to see who her early fans were.

On Sunday I went to a Baby shower for a Friend.
I gave her a Box of size 3 huggies and a Gift card to Babies R Us...
But OMG, She Got nothing But Newborn clothing, Diapers,Blankets and Chew toys. Thee Amount of Clothing was Obnoxious! IT was crazy. She probably got over 100 outfits. One Lady gave her nothing but Infant oneis. About 25 of them...She got nothing that she really needed such as Boppy, Stroller,Carseat,Highchair etc..
I have another shower to go to, and I want to give a gift. I will give another gift card but I also want to give a gift she can unwrap. As a mother what would you of like to of gotten at your Baby shower or what did you like that you got at your baby shower..
One other thing, What is it with People giving so much Baby clothes? Seriously?
As an expectant mother - I wish people had only bought what was on my registry. I mean, an outfit here or there to open with something on my registry is fine...but I do understand your friends pain in getting so many clothes. Chances are my baby isn't going to be tiny - and I did get a lot of newborn clothes - with no receipts attached! At least if you give clothing, attach a receipt. Oh, and I bet we ended up with 25 blankets!
