My nephew's birthday is in mid July and we are planning a simple blue themed party. I am trying to come up with a rhyme for the invitations (that I will be making) that tells everyone to wear something blue. Some of the details of the party are:
It's at a park
He's turning 1
His name is Jacob
All in attendance must wear something blue
Can someone please help! I really appreciate it as I am racking my brain and can't come up with anything. Thanks alot.
Once upon a time, in a land far away,
A party was planned for a very special day,
Help is needed- there's an occasion to mark!
So come on the day for some fun in the park,
The prince will turn one, we'll have so much to do,
So honor his birthday and come dressed in blue!
Feb 15 , .2010 our baby girl's Birthday Party!! A memorable movie that I present to my daughter and my husband on my birthday, Feb 20. Dear ...
Okay, we are going to have our family there but I guess my question is should it just be the family that is in our daughter's life? She has 2 grandparents that haven't been a part of her life (one who has only seen her a few times, never calls about her) another who was excited during pregnancy, then after birth almost acts like they dont know that our child exists. Should they still be invited since they are grandparents?
I also think you should invite those Grandparents. It sounds like a situation that I have been in. If they are not invited it will just be an excuse on why they are not in your child's life. They will put the blame on you! Invite them and see if they show up.
Good luck!

My daughter is going to be turning one in a few months, and I wanted to try to decide what to do for her party. I know she will most likely not remember it, but I dont want it to be so overwhelming for her. I want her to enjoy it as much as possible. The invite list we wrote is ridiculous. Is it necessary to invite everyone that has met her? My husband thinks we should cut our friends before family, but to be honest, our friends have children and are around alot more. My MIL htinks we should just invite every single person in the families, well that is over 70 people and thats ridiculous!
I am seriously thinking about renting a room at the Pittsburgh Childrens Museum, they have some great deals for bday parties, and that should limit the number of people who would attend.
Please help! I am ready to pull my hair out!
MIL's are such know-it-alls. i'd cut the person you won't miss from the party at all first, then go from there. and just remember, too many little kids at once is extremely annoying, so i wouldn't go crazy w/ the kids....
I am planning a large BD bash for my baby about to turn one in March. When should I send out the invitations? I worry if I send them out too late people won't be able to come, but I send them out too early they'll forget!
I sent mine the middle of Oct and his party was Nov 1st. I say two to three weeks in advance.
We have a hugh family. I have 5 sisters myself. My son is having his 1st Birthday party at a park in a shelter house. We are serving a full lunch, cake ice cream....I've hired a photographer, and we have tons of decorations. The invite list consist of about 50 invitations with about 130 individual guest. My question is Should I invite people that I know won't beable to make it? For instance I have 1 step sister that lives in Florida (we are in Indiana) Should I invite her and her family? I invited all of my other 4 step sisters. I don't want to offend her by her being the only one that doesn't get an invite, but I also don't want it to be a request for a gift, because it isn't! What should I do?
If it was me i would send one. So it won't cause problems. She may bring up you didn't think enough about her to even tell her and something along the lines. I've seen a lot of people put no gifts required, maybe you could do that to hers, but make it looks as if you probably put them in all. That way maybe she won't feel pressured to buy a gift. I was in the same situtation this past year for my son's. My grandmother asked me if she could invite some people i said sure, they didn't come but sent gifts to him the the next few weeks, i felt bad. So for my daughter i'm telling her to tell them no gifts required to come, just come and have fun.

baby's first birthday party, HELP? | 1st Birthday Party Theme
My little girl is turning 1 on december 15…i need ideas, i like lime green and turquoise and purple, i am not really one that likes the "theme party" idea, I am more just looking for original ideas how to decorate, i like the thought of polka dots or geometrical shapes, but i cant find anything like that. any good ideas that you have seen shopping or online where i could buy things like that….or ideas on table decorations???? what do you think….I am also thinking about registering her presents at target/toys r us, my reasoning behind it is because her birthday is so close to christmas and she has family from all over the country and i dont want her to...
