I bought three scrapbooks of circa 1910 greeting cards, mostly Easter and Christmas. Some birthday. Many are larger cards with historic sites on them. I know that vintage or antique greeting cards can be very collectible, but I don't know which ones are more desirable to collectors. I would like to sell them on eBay, but how do I choose which ones to list?
The collectibles market depends largely on condition followed by uniqueness. You should see whether you can get them out cleanly. You should list (or otherwise group) them by topic or historic site and look up examples on the internet from other dealers. You may wish to sell/offer some of your less attractive examples first in order to see if they will sell (if you are offering a fixed price) or what they get at auction. As I recall, when I was looking for specific images and they were found on post cards, people sometimes offered single and sometimes small batches/lots
Niki Jackson shows the steps for making your own vintage greeting card using background papers, printed materials and distress inks.
I have several un-used greeting cards with newspaper comic characters on them. Such as "Steve Canyon, Brenda Starr, Gasoline Ally, Our Town", and other characters. I've found out that that were in a series issued by The Chicago Tribune back in the late 40's. Can anyone give me an idea on their worth or point me in the direction to find out more about these cards. They're kinda cool and I'd like to sell them to someone who'd appreciate them. Thanks.
Super intelligent response "ipodtouch". Get back to class you slacker.
Jeez what a douche you are, Ipodtouch. >.>

Anyways, I don't believe there are many sites that offer for appraisals for vintage memorabilia. I did find a auction house site that 'might' be able to help you.

I'm searching for a particular type of greeting cards. It was quite popular a few years back but I am unable to find them now.
The style was made to look like a handmade card that was made by attaching an old (vintage) photograph on the front of a brown textured (perhaps cardboard) stock.
Does anyone know the name of the brand? Or did I just imagine it =/
Thanks in advance.
This is one of my favorite websites and I love their catalog that they send.

They always have vintage style cards, postcards and calling cards.
I have a set of blank note cards that I absolutely love the pattern. When I mess up while writing a note, I don't have the heart to throw away the messed up card because I love the pattern on the front (it's not a picture, it's a pattern-black and white, sort of vintage looking). What are some ideas for making use of the patterned portion of the card?
I would arrange them to make a rectangle about 12" x 18" approximately, and laminate them on both sides to make a set of placemats. They are practical, useful, can be admired each day, and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
I was given a set of unwritten in rpm's greeting cards with 33 1/3 vinyls in them , One of the birthday cards has a neat drawing of Elvis on it and a parody of one of his songs on the vinyl. Its in mostly new condition just has a stain on the back . It was made in 1983 and the print number it has on the bottom is "0001". its from Roca / Jon productions with cover work done by Lance jackson & associates inc. I am not sure what it would go for if I try to sell it I was wondering if this greeting card could be a collectable and worth something ?
I also have one with "the boss' its unstained nut the print number is" 0004" i am not sure if they would be worth anything
They could be worth a lot of money. Check out ebay.com to see other peoples cards and how much they go for.

Creative Craft Ideas Using Vintage Greeting Cards
Create a new card by gluing a new piece of backing paper to an antique card and write the recipient's name on the blank side. Salvage a card that is worn around the edges: cut out an interesting design or graphic from a vintage card, trace the shape onto a piece of backing paper, and attach to create a blank side. Spice up a vintage or antique card with embellishments: add some glitter to a snowy tree or landscape, a rhinestone to the centers of flowers in a bouquet, or cover a design with sequins for a funky vintage look.
