I am trying to find a source for the transparent envelopes so when I sell my handmade photographic greeting cards they are protected from fingerprints and dust.
First off be sure you ONLY use polyester NOT polypropylene if you really want something to last! The cost between the two is not that big of an issue. The Library of Congress uses polyester only for ENCAPSULATION of documents. Polyester has NO plasticizers and IS chemically inert, there for doesn't attack the enclosed document or in your case art. Don't be fooled by someone calling something "ARCHIVAL" when it is made from polyethylene.
Use certified "ARCHIVEL QUALITY" if you want the best.
If cost is an issue and you only care about the presentation and NOT PRESERVATION of your art than use the Polypropylene. Following are some links for you to check out.

I am a vegetarian, and I celebrate Christmas and other holidays. I am also a photographer and designer.
Recently I found an online place where I can sell my designs in the form of greeting cards, around the world.
In creating some of my designs, I realised that there were NONE aimed at vegetarians.
SO, I was wondering - if there were cards for purchase for holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter, which were SPECIFICALLY designed with vegetarians in mind, with things on them like 'Have a meat-free Christmas' or whatever, would you buy them?
Even if you are NOT a vegetarian, but you knew someone who was, or you WERE a vegetarian but didn't know any others, would you buy them?
Please give as much detail as you can :-)
If you WOULDN'T buy them - why not? What could possibly make you change your mind?
And if you WOULD - what kind of design would you be more likely to purchase, for example, a cartoon, photographic....cute, colourful, traditional....
Thank you to EVERYONE who responds.
Again, if this question is closed, or you don't have enough space here, please email me from my profile - I would love to hear your opinion
x
NOTE:
Please don't let the above example make you say NO.
The above example of something to say on the front of a card is something I would NOT say, I got a card once that did say that though...It was the first thing that came to mind.
Also this ISN'T specific to Christmas.
It would depend on the Card... the same as I buy all my Cards I have to like them....
Example for Thanksgiving if you showed a Tofurkey on the cover ( with or without ) the works and inside said "Happy Tofurkey Day" or "Happy Unturkey Day" ..Yes I would buy them and send them to my Vegan /Vegetarian family and friends...
Have a meat free Christmas NO I would not buy that.... Christmas is Santa and the Tree sparkle cards for me...
Perhaps if you had Basic vegetarian/vegan cards ..generic.. like Hello to my tree hugging friend .... or Hello to my vegetarian comrad... If I liked the card with perhaps a Cow, Sheep, and Pig all happy on the cover doing something..(they could be cartoonish) Yes I would buy cards to send to friends just because I would think it was novel...
I like funny cards to send to friends ..so cute, but funny animal joke cards about vegetarians would be good.....
I would send a Nice or funny Earth Day vegetarian Card.
That's all I can think of Now, but you can post this to a Vegan/Vegetarian on line chat group I am a member of and maybe get more feedback.. It is a yahoo group and anyone can join and Post any question..

Does anyone here have any experience using Ilford MGIV RC paper (photographic, NOT computer printer paper) with the Pearl finish? I have used RC glossy, and matte fiberbase, but have not yet tried the pearl and I am curious what it looks/ feels like. Does it have a texture? How glossy is it? What other, more familiar kind of paper could you liken it to (magazine pages, greeting cards, etc)? I understand that it's "somewhere between glossy and matte" but am having a hard time judging exactly what that would be like without being able to actually see and touch it myself.
Thanks!
it has a very slight sheen, but it's enough to notice in a darkroom.
it's very smooth, like standard computer photo paper, on the pearl side. the opposite side feels a lot like standard printer paper
there is not much to compare it to, as it is really just a slightly shiny paper as thick as thin cardstock.
i really like ilford pearl paper, it is the only paper i use.
i feel that the sheen is enough to display your picture in a classy way, without an overbearing shiny getting light in your eye.

And that people are missing the point of the day's sentiment?
I cringe when I see those jewelry commercials on TV, today is not about buying and giving each other expensive gifts. Today is suppose to be about love and expressing to the one you love.
Below is the meaning of Valentine:
val·en·tine /ˈvælənˌtaɪn/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[val-uhn-tahyn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun
1.a card or message, usually amatory or sentimental but sometimes satirical or comical, or a token or gift sent by one person to another on Valentine Day, sometimes anonymously.
2.a sweetheart chosen or greeted on this day.
3.a written or other artistic work, message, token, etc., expressing affection for something or someone: His photographic essay is a valentine to Paris.
LOL I feel the same way about xmas so I strive to keep it sentimental and filled with love and not make it all about the gifts but its annoying when others ask you what your bf got for you when you Actually dont like the whole idea of gifts on this day.
Me and my bf buy each other stuff throughout the year whenever we have money or whenever we see something nice he or i really would like. Not sure if its weird but I like how we are :)
Everything is commercialized now a days. I mean, look at Christmas. Christ's birth is reduced to giving gifts to one anotehr and it's not that I hate it because trust me, I love gifts...but the whole point of the holiday is missing. Same thing with Valentine's day.

Albums and greeting cards… in the woodlands!
In case you missed it, I’ve just moved house last weekend, and it’s been a bit hectic, so I didn’t get a chance to post that much (not to mention that my sacrifice for a south-facing study window is that the sun makes it completely unusable during the day, and my blackout blinds haven’t arrived yet).
But the boxes are slowly getting unpacked and I’m enjoying the quiet & beautiful spot of Surrey we now live in (we are now in between Hampton Court, Walton-on-Thames and Esher). Last weekend my husband and I drove the Bracknell Forest. And while he was exploring the forest and picking some mushrooms, I photographed some of the products I offer, using the stunning autumn forest backdrop. Well, me being me I forgot to take the beautiful new frames that I have, so those will have to wait till later. For now, here’s a few pictures of the birth announcement card and also the 20 page session book.
