What is the best paper for printing photo greeting cards?

Hey again everyone,

I just bought my first photo printer (a Canon) and I'm starting a greeting card company with my photography. Could anyone give me advice as to the best quality paper for printing greeting cards? I tried the Avery card paper..but it is WAY to thin..any help would be great!

Thanks!:)

I gotta tell you if you making Greeting Cards from a home printer with dye ink you are doing a disservice to your customer and your reputation.

Look for printer paper that is 150 lbs or better and is made from 100% cotton. Those should be high quality and stiff enough to do what you want to do.

Can someone help me think of a clever saying for my holiday photo greeting cards?

The photo is of our two daughters with our newest additions, two Shih-tzus named Snoopy and Nugget. They are all posing in front of our decorated Christmas tree near the fireplace. Some of the photos are traditional while others are silly, like in one photo the dogs are licking the whip cream out of their cocoa mugs and the girls were laughing hysterically. It looks real cute! Any suggestions on a cute greeting to add to the card would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!

What's the best printer to print photo quality greeting cards in terms of speed, cost and quality.?

I am a photographer and sell my images digitally online. I've been considering about design, print and distribute my own photo greeting cards in local shops. What's the best printer to use for low volume (up to 1000) prints, if u know where to get supply like paper and etc that would be awesome. Thanks.

I have an HP all in one. I think that that printer falls in an affordable yet high quality price range. Many store owners and clerks also usually prefer that brand for printing photos in a high quality.
You can get printer paper and other supplies anywhere in stores such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc...
Hope that helps!

Where's the best place to order photo greeting cards online? (Looking for a good price to make about 30 cards)?

I'm making thank you cards for wedding gifts, with a picture of my husband and I on them. There are so many companies to order these from, does anyone have any suggestions for a Website with a good selection and good prices? Thanks!!!

walgreens.com

my husband and i did the same thing, we used walgreens and they were very inexpensive, looked great and didnt take long at all. you should really look into them.

What is a good site to find photo greeting cards to send?

I got my cards from www.customcardcafe.com

They have great stuff and its really easy to use. Plus they keep their word and shipped me everything I have ordered from them in 24 hours or less.

  • Yep, still sick, and a recap of my Texas trip! « creativeapples ...

Okay, it’s day 6 and I’m STILL Sick. Seriously, this cold will not go away. I am feeling well enough to sit like a zombie on the couch with the laptop for a little bit (though, i strongly suspect a nap in the near future.)

Anyways, here’s a little recap and photos from last weekend’s exciting trip down south to the great state of Texas…

Saturday : Left O’hare. Waiting for the plane was a bit exciting as there was a loud “boom” outside on the tarmac. A plane might have hit one of those little luggage cars (seemed too big a boom for that) or maybe popped a tire? Not sure. There were a bunch of ambulances, firetrucks, and police cars surrounding that plane. Thankfully, no one was safety sliding down to the tarmac!!! (Also thankful it didn’t affect our takeoff!) Arrived in Texas, picked up the rental car, finally found the hotel. (OMG! The highways and roads in the DFW area are CRAZY!) All was good though. Met up with R and V, his beautiful soon-to-be-wife, and chatted all evening! They are really really wonderful and funny people and I’m so glad I went to visit them!
