I thought there might be a tape and adhesive to use but in the time I have been searching I am unable to find an appropiate combination. It would appear to be a similar process to book binding.
How large of a greeting card do you want? Why not use posterboard. It comes in several colors, or you can buy white and embellish :)

I am looking for large greeting cards, ones that are over two feet tall and about the same width, for any occasion. I am in Wichita, KS and if anyone knows of a retailer around here that would be great. But I don't mind buying them off of the internet either. Thanks!
Shari
Hi Shari -
Try this link...I hope it helps!
Stores cards that are up to 9-1/4" X 5-3/4" in size when the card is folded.
Always a great gift for the women in your life
The rings on a binder need to be 3-1/2" apart for the large sleeves.
I bought three scrapbooks of circa 1910 greeting cards, mostly Easter and Christmas. Some birthday. Many are larger cards with historic sites on them. I know that vintage or antique greeting cards can be very collectible, but I don't know which ones are more desirable to collectors. I would like to sell them on eBay, but how do I choose which ones to list?
The collectibles market depends largely on condition followed by uniqueness. You should see whether you can get them out cleanly. You should list (or otherwise group) them by topic or historic site and look up examples on the internet from other dealers. You may wish to sell/offer some of your less attractive examples first in order to see if they will sell (if you are offering a fixed price) or what they get at auction. As I recall, when I was looking for specific images and they were found on post cards, people sometimes offered single and sometimes small batches/lots
Envelopes are 5-1/4" x 7-1/4" overall, 45 lb weight, (70 gsm), square flaps.
100% acid-free and archival safe and are perfect for embossing, calligraphy, drawing and stamping.

When you open the file...there are 4 Cd's that need to be extracted..but within these are more files to be extracted. Where do I extract all of these to in order to install the program..would it be best to burn them all to disk and then install them? I need step-by-step instructions..please.
You may be able to find installation instructions at the program's homepage. If you can't find installation instructions, the user manual, or anything else helpful you may be able to create a folder and extract everything to that folder, and then run the program's installation from that folder.
There is a tutorial on unzipping files at this link.

I don't live near a large city. I'm professional artist/photographer & I have prototypes of cards. How do I make the connection to retail?
If it were me, I would start by compiling a portfolio, of as many as you can. I would start with smaller card companies, Write letters,
request appointments to view samples.
I would look at specialty shops and novelty type card shops, get the publisher name of the back, do some research about them, try to find companies with not the same style but the same feel of what you do, so there will be interest.
And Try, Try again.
You may also look at local printing companies, produce your own
cards. Market them to small businesses. Figure the cost and what you need to make, and "pre sell" or take orders for them., Think ot of the box man, (you're the artist) :)

Today’s “5 Questions with…” interview features Kevin Whitlark. This former bouncer who is an expert in 3 styles of the Martial arts, and who is a volunteer high school defensive football coach in his spare time, is not your typical cartoonist….
Andy: When you were growing up, were you always interested in drawing, and specifically cartoons?
Kevin: I was always interested in drawing, and did so as long as I can remember. I never drew cartoons as a kid, not to say that my art didn’t look like cartoons; what 3 – 8 year olds’ doesn’t?
Andy: Good point. When was it that you realized you could actually earn a living as a cartoonist – Did a family member or friend point out you had talent, or was it something you knew you wanted to do?
