I have been designing inspirational postcards, greeting cards, and pocket size inspiration cards. Now, I need customers. =-) Any ideas where to start? I am a single mother of three children and am working on no income. I do everything from my home office and basically need to know how I can jump in to the market on fixed resources. Any information or ideas would be very much appreciated!
FYI: I do have my own online business at desertrosedesign.net which I pay for monthly. I am trying to drive traffic to my site, and having little luck there. Does anyone know where I can find a list of Greeting Card companies for free rather than paying the $50-$100 most places are charging for that list?

a book called poetry market(2000) has the address of and what each card and publishing co. are looking for. I think comes out each year. You can find it at most major book stores such as barns & noble ect. they also have one called writers market also.

I need a thank you message to put in a greeting cards for all my teachers and professor. I need something inspirational that says that I appreciate everything they have done for me and that I’ll remember everything they have taught me as I go in real world…..…..in a better wording obviously!

I would start with a quote that is pertainant to the professor/teacher. Something like:


"The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others." ~~Solomon Ibn Gabriol~~

Then continue one with a brief "Thank you for everything you have given me, including the opportunity to grow into a person I can be proud of."

The RS president gave me an informal position of writing birthday cards for the women in RS for their birthdays. It's been fun, really. But have basically been using scriptures so far.

I've used so far:

Proverbs 31:10 and Proverbs 31:28
Psalms 119: 105
Numbers 6: 24-27

I'd like to know if there are any other verses I can use to write within blank greeting cards. Yes, the RS president gave me blank greeting cards and told me to fill them in. I've been think about hitting the hymn book as well for inspiration. But would like to know if there is someone who can give me some ideas for inspirational texts for Birthday greetings. :)
Jack: hmm, that doesn't sound like what I need. And I have had to be creative in how I insert it in a Birthday type format. :)
Eric R: Nothing wrong with Happy Birthday. But remember this is a blank card. Plus I am writing on behalf of the RS presidency. And I feel that the cards should have a religious overtone to it. One I just simply wrote:

May the blessing of the Lord be with you on your birthday.

Some how I would attempt to include "Charity"
