Graduation Greeting Cards

He is in 2nd week of basic training for Cav Scouts and would like to send him cards as well as letters. Are they allowed? Also, graduation date is Sept 12. Did not hear date of family day though. Is there anyway to count back and see what weekend that would fall on for Cav Scouts. I need to schedule that weekend off at work now..
Cav Scouts training is different. They have family day sometime in July then a weekend off, then graduation in sept.
I KNOW he can't get cookies! Cav is really strict! Just wondering about the cards though..

Yes he can get mail in basic.
Family days are usually the day before graduation of OSUT.
He can tell you for sure later on.

You can do it by setting the margins and paper size, using 2-sided printing and playing around with columns - but it's really a lot easier if you use a template. Using a template does not mean that you have to use the text they provide, you can edit it to say whatever you like.

Is it mainly for the purpose of getting money from everyone that comes to the party? People usually give the graduate a greeting card with money in it. I'm not planning on having one next year when I graduate.

I have a Bulgarian immigrant friend who just graduated from college. I would like to write a note in her card that says:

"Is that a diploma in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?"

If there is some web resource where I can get the phrase in cyrillic, please let me know!

i'm trying to come up with some greeting cards for a project....

Themes are-
1.New baby
2. Graduation
3. Marriage
4. Get Well

i had an idea for graduation but my thoughts get shut down...any cute phrases, ideas? just need a push i guess

Personally, when I make cards for someone else to use, I don't put any sayings or verses inside the card. I do a little more decorating inside the card and leave room for someone to write their own greeting so that the card is more personal. I'm guessing that this is a school project where you are required to create some verses. I would also make a point that many people prefer to write their own as they find many of the verses in cards too generic or cloyingly sweet. Also, note that with the get well cards, there should be one in that line that just says "thinking of you" as some people in the hospital get these get well cards and know that they have a terminal disease. Unless you know for sure that the person is just home ill with a flu or something of the like or the person in the hospital is having their appendix out, it's better to say something to the effect of "Sorry to hear you're not well. My love and thoughts are with you. Keep it short and simple. But, that's my opinion. I just remember my father in the hospital dying of cancer and receiving get well soon cards from people who knew that he wasn't ever coming out of the hospital alive.
