Engagement Greeting Cards

i am looking to designing an engagement card but have no ideas where to start any ideas

I used to make cards a while back and I always found the simple but unusual ones had the best inpact. Is the card for a younger or older couple? I think its nice to personalise the card with the couple's names. You can buy lots of lovely card toppers on Ebay which is easy and very effective just do a search on ebay for engagement card toppers.

You could also try a website called www.madaboutcards.com they've loads of easy to follow projects to inspire you, I used to find them very useful.

Doyou love those old Vintage Greeting Cards? This video displays a lot of the images on the vintage cards included on my Vintage Wedding Greeting ...

I made some cute cards for thank-yous, for Christmas gifts, and all I had was some of that kid's glue that's purple and then changes to clear. I used it to attach various cuts of paper, a cute little vintage mini-card, buttons etc.. The cards' appearances came out great but the card stock warped a bit, making the cards look kind of amaturish.

I used card stock made for cards, from the craft store so I'm thinking it was the glue?

HELP! What better glue to use???

I want to make more cards this year, for Valentine's, birthdays and a congratulations/engagement card for my brother in law.
What about those adhesive "roller" things, that work like "White Out" rollers, only it's a thin film of adhesive? Anybody use that?

Sounds like this glue made the card much too wet.

I use the roller glues for every things scrap booking and card making and i think they are fantastic and invisible unless your using them on vellum, but you get special ones for vellum now.
Don't be put off. If you go to your local craft shop they should have lots of different glues for every type of craft.

My ex fiancé send me a e-greeting card for birthday and a diweal card. She the one broke the engagement. I do not understand that why is she doing this?

The best way to deal with it is to dump them in the trash can.
Just do not bite the bait and reply or talk to her about it. IGNORE it .

And then, go out and enjoy yourself somewhere else.
Have a Happy time.

I and my husband got engaged last year.
But soon after we got engaged, my husband(then fiance) got laid off.
I was doing post graduation study, and living off with savings,(We both just graduated from college last year)
so neither of us were employed for a while.

Nevertheless my husband's parents(divorced) and grandparents kept asking us if we had set the date even though they knew neither of us were not working,
moreover, his parents asked if we were paying for their traveling first thing after my husband told them about our engagement.(We live away from both of our parents.)
His mom even said she couldn't afford it.(She acutally almost missed her another son's wedding too)

Anyways we got married by ourselves without having wedding ceremony.
While his brother and grandparents sent us greeting card,
his parents didn't do anything, no cards, no wedding gifts, nothing at all.
My family got us bunch of stuff of course.
Is that normal? I really can't believe they don't even send a card.

I know the custom that normally bride's parents pay for the wedding
but my husband has disorder and he constantly loses his job
and his family knows I'm gonna be mrs.dad and he's gonna be mr.mom.
They apparetnly expect that.
They say they don't have money and my family is wealthy,
but my family does not own any luxury items my husband's parent owns.
I really feel it is totally unfair and my husband's family is really unbelievable.
What is common opinion?

They're jerks.
