Digital Greeting Cards

About once a year at this time, we snap a few photos of our kids and put them into a walmart.com greeting card generator. It shows a scene, a few photos, and some text saying "Merry Christmas!".

The choices for these cards are usually poor, and I'd really like to design my own (the easy way, using existing images, etc.)

What software is out there that will allow me to do this. Preferably I'd like something freely available like The Gimp

I make mine in Photoshop. Any image program which allows you to make a blank template should work. You simply size the template to the size of your cart and start designing. The carts you can find in any home office supply store.

You can choose from premade cards that you can personalize and then send in the 'cardz' section. Or if you want to create something really unique using a photo of her or the two of you, go into the 'dragz' section and you can decorate it and then turn it into a digital card.

ps.. i dont want foto editing software of such like.. Photoshop, Paint.Net, Corel, or Gimp etc... these dont have wat i want... these are just photo editing softwares ...

We have those greeting cards that if we open it, it plays a midi music. I want something like it but something I can "upload" 1 song (preferably mp3) in it to be played when opened. Any leads?

Hallmark has some that you can record to the card. Go and look. I went to the website and did not see them. but when I got a card for mom at mother days my Hallmark store had some. I just have a awful singing voice. Call your local store. www.hallmark.com they give the list

See .. i want to print a Digital photo on a greeting card but i dont know what is the best kind of paper to do that and to keep the quality of the photo plz help

Several companies make greeting card paper. They come in sets with the envelopes. i have some here made by Avery, and the quality is fine for making your own card to send to friends or family. You can probably find such kits at your local big box office store or department store. There are professional paper companies as well, more pricey. Google printer paper and see what you find.
