Hi all,
Money is tight this year since I had my baby so have decided to make my own Xmas cards and would like to add a photo.
Do you know of any good sites I can use that are free?
Thanks
Avery.com has free templates you can use if you have MS word.
The problem is if you're going to print in color, depending on how many cards you make, you're really going to suck up the ink. It would probably be cheaper to order photo cards at the drug store. You can buy cheap cards at the dollar store and insert regular pictures. Or just do the pictures in black and white.
Making your own isn't always cheaper.
How to make a handmade Christmas card;learn all this and more in this free arts and crafts video taught by an expert. Expert: Elouise Hester Bio ...
I am trying to make my own Xmas cards this year.
The girl that i work with, is, very creative, and is good at making handmade cards etc. I blame her for giving me this idea. :)
I have bought some card, double sided sticky tape, and ink. She has given me loads of borders, and rubber stamps.
I am not usually one for making things. But, i am determined to have a go.
Any advice, good or bad welcome.
Or should i just go and buy a pack of 10 from the supermarket, and add glitter and be done with it. Lol.
Suki - I never got into Blue Peter and the double sided tape thing when young. Maybe i have missed out. :)
Sali/Kerry - I have sent ecards before. But this seems more personal. Lol.
Waves - No need to be picky. I was too tired to type `Christmas`. LOL.
Generally, i only abbreviate in texts. Being past `30` something. :)
Haz - So there is no point, in sending you an embossed picture of George Michael and OMD. :) :)
Sam, it's Christmas, not Xmas.
E-cards are cool, but you do have to know the person's email address.
Made cards years ago, but now just send nice ones to a few people.
As for current events.....there are not many people left to send cards to...where are they all?
Edit:: Sorry Sam....being picky & mixy....I just think Xmas is not right.
Hi i got a r4 card for xmas and i still haven't figured out how to use it yet! It came with the card (the size of a normal ds card), a micro sd card 4gb ( little + big). And the stick thing u plug into the computer. No cables no disc.
And i have loads of original games i want to put them all onto my r4 how do you do it? Do you need a cable? If so where do i get it from??? Thanks x
No you don't get it i want the games i have already on normal ds cartridges. (the one's you buy from shops) onto my r4.
you take the sd out put it in a card reader
you can not put originals on to it you will need to download the games
My dad has the illness. He never sends birthday card or xmas cards. I've never properly met him. He has my address and number. But if i wanna talk ever - i ring him. He expects me to call him dad. It wouldn't even cost must to send a small card (I wouldn't care if it were an old wrapper with the words 'happy birthday' on) I've given up with him now - i'm never gonna speak to him again. Period.
I really feel for you. This is so hard to answer without knowing how his illness affects him as paranoid schizophrenia presents itself in so many ways and is very individual to each person it affects. Maybe he is just a 'rubbish Dad' and would be without any illness at all, and maybe his illness is preventing him in making and keeping contact with you. I wouldn't write him out of your life completely. Is there any way you can find out how he is being affected by this illness? I know paranoid schizophrenics find keeping good family relationships very hard to do, and if his illness is severe and untreated he is unlikely to even be capable of thinking about himself, let alone anybody else. Most people who are experiencing this will be quite socially phobic also, fear leaving the house or dealing with other people (even people they love and are close to), entering shops or calculating their finances, so maybe he is unable to buy a card and send a card. For a person who is this ill, doing the most basic of tasks that the majority of us find simple, is simply unachievable. I would do some research, maybe speak to another family member for support, because this must be so hard for you. Like I say, this very much could be related to his illness, but I don't want to say this is exactly whats happening because I have no idea what he would act like even if he were well. xxxx
where you could make up your own xmas cards with your family's faces and you could add their pictures to the bodies of elves. Does anyone know of such a web site? I can't remember the site. Thank-you.

it's not open for the season yet though.
Credit card companies get creative
Credit cards are so convenient but the terms and conditions, not so much. But what if you could change that?
"If you were able to set your own terms for credit cards I think that would be fabulous, especially if you could control the interest rates," said one person.
"If I could pick my own credit card payment, I'd do terms and conditions, I guess payment dates," said another.
Now it's possible. Several companies have started allowing customers to decide the terms of the card.
"They're allowing you to design a card that suits your lifestyle whether it's a fixed rate card or variable rate card, different reward programs, different time frames, different due dates, grace periods," said Adam Levin of Credit.com .
Make Your Own Lacing Cards for Preschool Activities
Preschool-aged children love lacing cards. Lacing cards allow children to practice “sewing” by threading a string in and out of holes in a piece of cardboard. This is a great activity to help develop your child’s fine motor skills.
Lacing cards can be found most anywhere preschool supplies are sold. The pictures on the cards can be anything from farm animals to construction equipment. They are enjoyed by both boys and girls.
If you want to be really creative, you can make your own lacing cards. All you need is a picture, a laminating machine ($20 at Walmart), scissors, a hole punch, and some yarn or a shoestring.
First select a picture. You can find many children’s pictures online. Just search for pictures or drawings of things that your child likes. If your child likes dinosaurs, then you could make a set of dinosaur lacing cards.
