None of the above, if they're not going to bother to put a personal message on it. I have relatives who waste a stamp every year on a dumb card that just says, "Merry Christmas!" all generic on it. I absolutely LOATHE those stupid newsletters because it's like, why do I care that little Timmy made first chair violin or Susie got accepted to Brown? If you're just going to print off a form letter to brag about your kids, save a stamp by not sending me one, thanks very much. As for photo gift cards, I think it's rather presumptuous of parents to truly believe that anybody besides them cares about receiving a picture of their kids in holiday finery. I have vowed never to do photo cards when I have children. My absolute least favorite thing of all is a photo card of someone's pet, especially if that pet is wearing a stupid outfit or hat. I love my bulldog more than life itself, but I wouldn't put a photo of him on a card and mail it out to anyone, because then I'd qualify as a bona fide Crazy Dog Lady.
This year I sent out regular Christmas cards, and I put a heartfelt, personalized message on each one. It took me days to get all of them done, but at least it means something.
Watch as I make this photo holiday card from start to finish. See my blog for more detail: darlenedesign.com
Every year I make xmas photo cards with my little one, and as of Feb this year I now have 2, so I'd like to include them both in a sweet, not cheezy or annoying photo card. Neither I nor my husband want to/ will be in it. Last years card was of my son playing with xmas lights with a black backdrop, and natural lighting.
TIA!
Have your 9 month old partially in a
large Christmas stocking with some
small stocking stuffer items around
him and your two year old sitting next
to him eating one of Santa's big cookies.
Good Luck!!!

Ok I have been with my boyfriend a little over 5 months. We don't really live together , but he is at my home about 90% of the time. We wanted to take a nice photo together and send in Christmas cards to our family and friends. We are in our mid and late 20's. He has children with someone else and plans on taking photos with hisself and his children and give them to his family. Is it ok to give photos and cards out this early in the relationship I don't want my family or his to think we are over doing it. Thanks for any help. Happy Holidays.
I can say from a guy's perspective that that's perfectly fine, i'd sort of like it if my girl did that for me. Just wear something nice, not too revealing of course ^^, and have fun!
