There is an excellent open source package called GIMP, I use it to create / modify all sorts of graphical images. In my case it runs under Linux, but somebody may have "ported" it for Windoze.

Christmas Card Design! HEELLPP!?

Ok, for our school art project, we need to make a christmas card cover..it can be anything! But it needs to be related to christmas! Please help me! I will be colouring the design in colouring pencils...I don't want to paint as I am rubbish at painting! It needs to be something creative yet simple (because I'm not that good at drawing but I will be able to do most stuff.) Please can you help me by giving me an idea of a xmas card cover design or even better give me a link to an image! Also, if the design involves snow, then I can add glitter on it to make a good effect. So, please give me some ideas - I want to get a good grade! Please! Thank you!

P.S it will be good if the design is colourful because I might get a better grade if it's more colourful! Thank you!

a winter land scape with the glitter for the snow (the glitter is a great idea) you could put a snowman or Christmas tree with presents under it very simple and if your not good at drawing a tree use a ruler just remember be creative!
