Do you like receiveing photo Christmas cards, or do you prefer traditional Christmas cards?

I don't mind the photo cards if they fold so that I can display them. But of course I always am happy to receive a card. :)


I like the photo cards better. Especially when it is from someone I don't see that often.

Art students must save quite a bit of cash each year!


i go for the more traditional one's for the 'oldies' and cute & funny for the youngsters - and yes they can be pricey but there are lots of deals to be had too!

How should I word Save the Dates/Christmas Cards to combine the two?

I haven't been able to figure out save the dates and realized that since I have to do Christmas cards anyways I might as well make it a 2 in 1 deal... I am doing pretty traditional christmas cards and wanted to add a magnet inside that says save the date but I want the wording on the card to somehow mention that we are newly engaged... HELP! I dont know what to do!?!


You do realize that the weight of the magnet will add to your postage cost? Why don't you just type out a half-page note on very pretty light parchment paper and tuck it inside the card. "Christmas 2008 will be extra special for us this year because we can finally announce that we're engaged to be married in Baton Rouge on June 11, 2009. Please save the date as invitations will be mailed in mid-April.

What do you think of Christmas Post Cards instead of the traditional cards ?

With the price of stamps going up would you opt for those instead of sending no card at all ?

Is it okay to not send Christmas cards?

I was thinking, instead of Christmas cards do you think it's okay to send ecards? People just throw the cards out, it's such a waste of time, paper and money.
What is your opinion? Is it okay to send an ecard instead of a traditional Christmas card?


I stopped sending Christmas cards a couple of years ago, it wasn't Worth the trouble, I like your idea.

    I used the fir tree from the Lovely as a Tree set and simply stamped it at an angle (in Garden Green ink on Very Vanilla card) to make it look like branches, making sure that the base of the tree was stamped off the card. Next up was the new Spritzer tool. I've been itching to use this and I'm really taken with it - a chance to spatter without the mess, lol. You just put your marker pen (Garden Green in this case) in the tool and squeeze the bulb. It's best to practice on some scrap first to work out how far from the card to spritz, the further away you are, the more even the spatter (but not too far away, lol). As I was using the clear mount stamps I was easily able to stamp the sentiment just...
