I want to buy a camcorder for my husband, needed for filming holidays/christmas/birthdays etc, wanting to spend about £150, but what are best/easiest to use, ones that use memory cards or DVDs?? (I don't want one that uses the tapes)
Consider the JVC Everio series, These have hard drives and SD cards and are far superior to DVD cams as DVD cams are crap.

Yes read your instruction book my Sony camcorder can switch between either. The beauty of the disks is that they are good for longterm storage of videos the memory cards are too expensive to keep changing when full.

the dad & grandma stuff is good, however unless grandpa likes alot of candy, get him something other then food.
