I think it is an excellent idea to scrapbook the Christmas cards I received along with the letters, envelopes and photos. I am finding it be expensive with all the little stick ons, etc. I thought I was a patient person too, but I would like to get the scrapbooking done more quickly than spend hours on one page.
I had planned to scrapbook my first cruise too, but I have like 400 photos. It seems daunting.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I agree with picking your 5 or 6 favorite pictures from each part of the trip and storing the rest chronologically in an archival safe photo storage box. There are kits from Creative Memories called Power Pallettes in different color schemes. They include paper, photo mats, journal boxes, title stickers and embellishments. All pieces coordinate the other pieces without being too "matchy". You save money by buying more parts of the set together rather than seperately. And the best money saver is that the only tools you really need with these is a 12" cutter (which you could truly use very little or not at all), adhesive, and an acid free journaling marker/pen.

I bought three scrapbooks of circa 1910 greeting cards, mostly Easter and Christmas. Some birthday. Many are larger cards with historic sites on them. I know that vintage or antique greeting cards can be very collectible, but I don't know which ones are more desirable to collectors. I would like to sell them on eBay, but how do I choose which ones to list?
The collectibles market depends largely on condition followed by uniqueness. You should see whether you can get them out cleanly. You should list (or otherwise group) them by topic or historic site and look up examples on the internet from other dealers. You may wish to sell/offer some of your less attractive examples first in order to see if they will sell (if you are offering a fixed price) or what they get at auction. As I recall, when I was looking for specific images and they were found on post cards, people sometimes offered single and sometimes small batches/lots
I am a scrapbooking freak & I only have girls... a lot of time I still buy boy stuff or stuff that doesn't really go w/my kids (like dance, and they aren't in dance...) just because it's so cute! I would like to make kits or pages or cards, etc., and maybe just donate them to somewhere that can sell them for proceeds to benefit charity... Like here at Christmas we have Festival of Trees, which they would take christmas-related donations, but i was just looking for something for general themes.
Lots of great ideas ....
hospitals; schools; girl and boy scout groups; retirement homes; nursing homes; March of Dimes; United Way; Cancer Society; genealogy groups; organizations for blind/deaf people; Alzheimer's Society's; Community Living groups (for disabled children/adults).....

Have old Christmas cards on hand, I would like to make a scrapbook. Don't want to throw the cards a way, keepsake.
Its easy. Go to any craft store and purchase a scrabook. Its for a christmas theme, so look for a few christmas embellishments, stickers charsms what ever looks good to you. Take christmas cards, cut out the picture or around it. Glue it on to the scrapbook, cut out the message on the other half of the card glue it in the page also. Do some journeling and well=a, its done. You get better ideas as you go. you can also find ideas on the internet, just trype in Scrapbooks and watch all searches come up. Its fun...
What Christmas gift could i get for my grandparents and uncle (they all live together) that live in a different country? I'd have to send it, so it should be light.
I was thinking maybe of a scrapbook, but i'm also doing a scrapbook for my uncles birthay, so would that not be too much?
Do you have any other ideas? (Of course, we send out christmas cards every year, too)
Thank you!
I would go to a florist and ask them to send them a fruit basket. The florist would order it from the other country's choice of florist, and it would get delivered fresh from the other florist that takes the order. It works and it's the best way to send something they can all share.
