Russian Christmas Card

Answers

How do you say Merry Christmas in Russian?
Merry Christmas everyone!

I am writing my Christmas cards, and I'm sending one to a Russian friend. I've taken Russian classes before, but we didn't learn how to say Merry Christmas. Is "С новым рождество" correct? Could anyone help me out? And don't give me links to on-line translators. I'd like the answer from someone who actually knows. And in Cyrillic alphabet, too, please! Thanks!

Hi, I'm from Argentina (sorry if my english is not very good!) I lived in Russia for a year.

They say "с рождеством".

But you better say "с новым годом" (It means "Happy new year"), it is more used. Or "с новым годом и рождеством".

In Russia, Christmas is not on 25 december, they celebrate it on 7 january. Remember that when you send your card!

Christmas card to Russia?
Happy Christmas!!

How many stamps do I need? Can I just put it in the mail box? Should I write the address and stuff in Russian, or can I keep it in English?

Do not put it in a mail box without knowing how much postage is required. Take your card to the post office and they will give you the appropriate stamp to put on it. If you have the address in Russian, copy this onto your envelope, otherwise keep it in English.

Can anybody send me the piano sheet music for Mad Russian's Christmas by Trans-Siberian Orchestra?

I am supposed to perform it with a friend's band next week and i still need time to learn it. I'd buy online but i don't have a bank card that works for online shopping. I'd buy it in stores but unfortunately, i live a long ways away from any city and won't get a chance to get to a store that might have it before the show. If anyone can e-mail me or link me anything, that would be so great. I don't want to let this friend down.

Cut In Half, Rejoined Russian Painting Brings $175030 At Thomaston Place

:Estate-fresh merchandise wooed the capacity crowds during the first sale of the 2010 auction season at Thomaston Place Auction Galleries over the weekend of February 6 and 7. The two-day sale, filled to the brim with quality Americana and highlighted by a select offering of paintings, saw solid prices posted across the board.

Auctioneer Kaja Veilleux welcomed the crowd and extolled the virtues of the merchandise about to be offered. Among the assortment was a selection of early American furniture and artwork from the estate of Barbara Bel Geddes, along with a collection of 200 pieces of "incredible decorator furniture and accessories" from a Northwest Harbor estate.

Artwork ranged from rare and desirable pieces, such as an Andrew Wyeth gouache, to a selection of known American masters, such as John Twachtman, Ralph Blakelock and Thomas Sully, as well as some lesser known, although still highly desirable, Russian and Continental artists.

Russian energy giant Gazprom: shale gas is really, really, really ...

Many years ago, I was pretty unhappy when my teenage boyfriend starting hanging out round the house of a petite, charming, blonde gymnast named Jenni. Her cat was definitely exacerbating his asthma. I was convinced that her wayward brother was going to lead him into a spiral of crime and drug abuse. And her mum’s home-cooking was making him pile on the pounds. In fact, I definitely wouldn’t fancy him if he spent much more time round there.

I mention this little episode – where I was being less than honest about my real reasons for crossing the poor girl off my Christmas card list – because it strikes me that Gazprom , the sulky Russian state energy monopoly, is behaving like a similarly jealous lover at the moment.
