It depends on the stamp. I'm told (by a coworker in shipping) that metered mail (the one in the red ink) must be delivered in 3 days no matter where in the USA its mailed from.

A regular stamp (the one you lick) can take its time to get there and can be delayed by a holiday.

"Estimated Time of Delivery: 2 to 9 days (The USPS does NOT guarantee delivery of Standard Mail.)"

Make sure its not oversized and/or overweight or it could get sent back for additional postage.

I decided to make a video Christmas Card this year instead of sending out traditional cards. I hope you enjoy it! Obviously, I left out A LOT of ...

My husband and I will be visiting NYC this year for the first time in early December. My questions is, where is the best place to take a picture for our holiday greeting cards? I want it to be obvious we're in New York City. Since I have never been, I don't know what will look good in photos.

I know some people hate photo greeting cards, but we love sending and receiving them. I like seeing updated photos of my distant friends and family every year.

The tree (and skating rink) at Rockefeller Center. Radio City Music Hall. The giant snowflake at 5th Avenue and 57th Street. The "Human Christmas Tree" of carolers at the South Street Seaport. Central Park. The Empire State Building at night, lit up for Christmas with green and red lights. Holiday windows at Lord and Taylor, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, etc.

I love this idea. I don't care if it shuts down their operations or not. I just like the idea of sending them a Christmas card. I'm not really sure they are worth .39.

LOL---I DID that already. I sent the ACLU a card with a nice warm fuzzy Christmas message, and a lovely Christmas Tree on the front of it. And I sent out that e-mail to everyone in my address book as well.
