Kids Christmas Cards

He and his wife have been asked for years not to add the kids' names to their Christmas cards and they still do it. I don't care, but it bothers the kids since two of them are adults. None of the kids have anything to do with him on a normal basis, so it makes it look like the kids live with them or something.

Do you know who he sends them to?
If you do threaten to send them a card explain how his kids have nothing to do with him, belittle him a bit; then actually do it. He'll be too embarrassed to put their names anymore..

Why is it that people often put pictures of thier kids in with christmas cards? This is not even a family member, more like a distant friend. I have seen many people do this... why do they think someone who doesn't even know thier kids that well would want the recent school picts tucked in? Truth be they usually are tossed out with the ribbons and wrapping paper..

Probably because they thought you may be interested in their lives but apparently not. Why should they keep sending you cards, they are only tossed anyway? Some people in this world still care about others and how their lives are progressing, they are proud of their kids and rightfully so, is it so hard for you to consider others? Friendships are valued treasures and you should never let them go so carelessly.

My mother in law said something to me one time that might help you. It was my daughter's birthday, and everyone got her a card with money in it, and I made a comment about her being richer than I was. My mother in law said, "Using that money to pay your bills or to buy groceries is the same as using the money toward her." So my point is- if your child is young enough to not realize what they are getting for presents, use the money for something that you all need. Like food! Or to pay your electric bill!

I was wondering where the xmas wishlists from little kids go to. Since they put northpole on it do they actually go there? Or do people read it at the post office?

It's funny you ask this, actually. My great grandfather started the program where when kids did write letters addressed to the north pole and Santa claus and such they'd go straight to a town called Santa Claus, IN. And with this program volunteers or "elves" would respond back. Theybdidnt actually write out a whole letter they had ones that were already written and they've been using 2 of the original letters since then. Now the volunteers just add a little message at the bottom off the letter pertaining to the kids'
letter. My grandmother, Pat Koch is now in charge of all this.
