who else gives their pets xmas and b'day cards?
Merry Christmas!

i always give my dogs a xmas or b'day card, i know they cant read, but i like doing it. im going to be giving my dogs, hamster and rats a xmas card each. anyone else do this.

Many people do. Even though they can't read the cards (rabbits and rodents love to chew them though), it is the love that is created by such an act that they pick up on. They can tell if someone is really celebrating them or just doing them a favour for feeding them once in a while.

Christmas pictures in Xmas cards - what kind do you like?
End of Year 2009

i've been asked to take some images for a family and their dog. besides the standard photo around the Xmas tree, do you have any other setting or situation that might be pretty neat for an Xmas card?

i've had some ideas like downtown near christmas lights, or on their deck or something..

Maybe outside like they're playing with the dog...
or making snow angels.
Or maybe you can recreate the bethlehem scene with all of them playing a part...I think that would be funny, but I'm not sure if you're looking for humor.

I Need a Puny Xmas Card Suggestion!?
white xmas coming soon?

For years we've made puny Xmas cards: Happy Hula Days w/ the girls in hula costumes w/ a snowman, Wishing you a Whopper of a Christmas (with our tree hanging upside down like a fish, a measuring rod next to it and all of us in lumberjack clothes), a nativity scene w/ our baby new as Jesus, our older one as an angel w/ the caption "It's a Girl!".
Now we're stumped. Any funny puny Xmas card ideas for a couple w/ 2 girls (1 teen 1 pre-teen. ) Also to be included: a rabbit, dog, cat & 2 rats.

If you like a challenge, please send your suggestions my way, and
THANKS!

Merry Christmas from the zoo!

Was in the card shop today ................?
Great pedigree reindeer .... ! Christmas 2009

... and I see that they they actually sell Xmas cards to send to your dog. Is this as sad as it seems or has anyone out there actually done this? Oh, by the way, I have a gorgeous German Shepherd .... but send her a card ......... jeez !

It's a clever marketing ploy by the card companies to get stupid, soppy, pet owners to part with more cash at Christmas - not content with having us part out cash on silly doggy treat stockings.

DVD Report Card

Only Steven Soderbergh would take a respected nonfiction work about oddball corporate intrigue, find the material more suited to light comedy, hire a crack team of comedians in virtually every supporting role and, to top it off, add a zany, anachronistic score from Marvin Hamlisch. Yet “The Informant!” (appropriately with the exclamation point) entirely works, featuring Matt Damon in his finest performance since “The Talented Mr. Ripley” and a seemingly reinvigorated Soderbergh mixing tones and filmmaking styles to deliriously wonderful effect. Damon plays Mark Whitacre, an executive at an agricultural industry giant who turns whistleblower when he catches wind of some shady dealings. But when Whitacre proves a handful to his FBI handlers (Scott Bakula and Joel McHale), they begin to delve into Whitacre’s motivations. Based on the true story of the highest-ranking corporate whistleblower in the history of the justice system; and again, I’d like to remind you, it’s a comedy, and a terrifically funny one at that. $28.98 DVD, $35.99 Blu-ray.

Bryson's of Bend: Bye Bailey

Some people don't understand how animals can become part of your family. Bailey was a definate part of our family. When Bob was living in Oregon and I was still in San Diego for those two years, Bailey was with him. If the kids were playing downstairs and I was in the kitchen, I knew that they were fine because Bailey was down there to protect them. Bob would take Bailey out to the property and walk around or take her with him when he rode dirtbikes. That dog could run and run and run and run. Her endurance and energy seemed endless.
