I would like to teach a craft for the old christmas cards, but I can't think of any that would be fun for ages 8 to 16. I have all shapes and sizes. thanks
we send ours to missionaries you could make book marks out of them by putting contact paper over them punch a hole in the top add some ribbon through the hole you may have to cut the cards first make them and give them to nursing homes in your area
A Christmas card wreath is a great way to display holiday greeting cards, and it is made by gluing overlapping cards into a circle and adorning it ...
You can use them to frame as a nice picture. If you do it right, using a nice matting or whatever, a nice Christmas card can really look like a nice wall hanging!!! Make a couple of them as a set!
I am wanting to start early this year on my handmade Christmas cards. Each one usually takes me about 25 minutes and I have about 75 to do...so I like to pace myself if possible.
Does anyone know when Michael's or Craft Warehouse puts out their Christmas stamps, paper, embellishments, etc.?
Around October. I have a friend who works at Michael's and they already have 90% of the Christmas stuff they are going to get in their stock room, just waiting to be put out!

Before you answer this is for a adolescent behavioral health facility. This means no pipe cleaners, metal, hot glue guns, stick pins, wire hangers, or anything they can really hurt themselves or others with. I saw an idea once on making a Christmas tree out of old Christmas cards but can't find it. Any ideas would be nice.
Please. I really want something fun for the kids to do and enjoy.

I am not very skilled so I need something simple and easy.
Card ideas or even wrapping is good.
I agree with Kate. You could also offer a wrapping service. People can bring their items to you and you wrap them. You will need wrapping paper, tags, tape and maybe bows. You could charge $1-2 per item wrapped. You can always use any of the leftover materials for yourself.

Tough love cards for Valentine's Day
Britt Wilson’s hand-drawn Valentine’s Day cards aren’t for the sentimental.
“I hate you,” one card reads, while yet another says simply, “I cheated.”
“They’re Valentine’s cards for failing relationships,” said the 23-year-old Toronto illustrator Saturday at the fourth annual Erotic Arts and Crafts Fair at the Gladstone Hotel.
Does Valentine’s Day dredge up bitter memories or something?
“I’m too young for bitter, but I’m working on it,” Wilson said. “Valentine’s Day has never really meant much to me. When I was younger my dad would buy me a rose. I almost find it too commercial at this point, so I prefer the day after Valentine’s Day when all the chocolates are cheaper.”
