Christmas Invitations

Personally, I like a lot of notice since we're very busy that time of year. But if you mail too eary, people tend to forget.

You should mail them out about 3 weeks before the party.

Yeah we are reading Charles Dickens, and are making like a Victorian party thing. And I need to do inviations. So I need information about Victorian invitations. (ex: where they hand made or printed..)
Can anyone give me any ideas, or websites?

I'm planning our annual christmas party and I need help with the invitations.....We want to do a gift exchange but I want to make sure people feel comfortable, we are setting the gift limit to $5....also, I want to make sure people know that there children are welcome to the party....although the gift exchange is adult only. We really want our invitation to sound upbeat and fun.....Any suggestions???

We are having a gift exchange for the adults this year and would love it if you could join us. Please only spend $5 because we want to keep it small. Also make sure to bring your children along for games, food, and fun.
