We have a secret santa gift exchange in our class and I wanted to buy and make something . So I thought if I made a greeting card then i'll end up saving a few bucks. Our budget is only $5-$10 so it is sorta tight.I am giving this gift to a tomboy in a class filled with tweens . I was thinking classic christmas but I wanted to consider her tomboy style and also make it fun or funny.
I would recommend sending them an e-card (save a tree)

This way, you save your budget to buy them something that doesnt get put into a box, find out what she's into, you know she's a tomboy so thats a good start....
Btw, the card above it something I ran into, it's the funniest xmas card I've seen.
Thanks mom for buying me and my dad matching sweaters and inspiring this video Hope everyone's having a happy holiday! Be sure to check out ...
my family will be here for Christmas and my family (husband and two children) are giving all of them greeting cards with our picture on it. What can I put on the greeting to announce that I'm pregnant?
you can say "happy holidays (or whatever) love, _______ and the new baby."
or you can put a pic of the ultrasound (if you have had one to confirm the pregnancy) and say "meet the newest member of our family!"
Should I be saving the Christmas picture greeting cards that people give during the holidays? Is it appropriate to keep them or can I just throw them away?
I have mine in a picture album! It is fun to see how families/kids grow over time. Make sure you date them if they are not dated. Also make sure you write the people's names down - in the future your great grand kids might wonder who these people were!
You can also use the picture the next year. Get it enlarged and make a puzzle out of it and sent the card/puzzle back to whoever sent it to you in the first place.
You can make ornaments out of the pictures. Use it in scrap-booking. Have fun!

1) It is not permissible to take the non-Muslims as friends
http://islamfundamentals.wordpress.com/2 009/05/15/taking-non-muslims-as-friends/
2) Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy on him, said in Ahkaam Ahl al-Dhimmah: "Congratulating the kuffaar on the rituals that belong only to them is haraam by consensus, as is congratulating them on their festivals and fasts by saying ‘A happy festival to you’ or ‘May you enjoy your festival,’ and so on. If the one who says this has been saved from kufr, it is still forbidden. It is like congratulating someone for prostrating to the cross, or even worse than that. It is as great a sin as congratulating someone for drinking wine, or murdering someone, or having illicit sexual relations, and so on. Many of those who have no respect for their religion fall into this error; they do not realize the offensiveness of their actions. Whoever congratulates a person for his disobedience or bid’ah or kufr exposes himself to the wrath and anger of Allaah."

Brothers and sisters, I advise you to ignore the constant posts of ignorance by this indiviual 'Arius'; of whom continues to type fallacies of which only the ignorant would be fooled
May Allaah grant those who slander the Muslims, and particularly their Scholars, a severe and painful torment. For a person to spread lies about the Scholars of this Religion is demonstrative of hate for the Sunnah and its people, and a love for their own lowly and despicable desires
How sickening it is that those who prefer their desires to the truth try to attack the Scholars by claiming 'they had no teachers' (truly sickening). As regards this allegation against Shaykh Al-Albaani, then his teachers including his father Al-Hajj Nooh, and Sa’eed al-Burhaanee. May Allaah have mercy on the Scholars of this Religion, and guide or rid the Muslims of their enemies
I have this cute picture of my family with Santa and wanted to make it into one of those Christmas cards that everyone sends out with their pictures on it, any free easy online way to do so?
Go to CropMom at http://www.cropmom.com .Upload your photo to the site. Click Get Started and begin making your own card using your photo.
You can choose from many designer digital scrapbook graphics to decorate your card. One of my favorites for a Santa photo is the Oh, What Fun it Is kit (you can click the drop down menu under Kits in the scrapbook and card creator and pick the Oh, What Fun It Is kit to see all the graphics). I LOVE the Santa hanging from the moon.
Anyway, you can Add Text to personalize your card. Then save it.
Go to My CropMom page and click on your layout. Now, from here, you can Share it via e-mail with a friend (it's automatically sent to your friend's e-mail address and looks as if it came from your e-mail).
If you want to post your card on your Web site, click Download Low Res and download the low resolution JPEG file to post on the Web. Or you can use this version to e-mail from your own e-mail account.
If you ever want to print your card, you can purchase the print-quality JPEG file for a small fee.
