Christmas Cards

Considering the price of cards and stamps, do you think it is appropriate to send Christmas cards over internet? It seems that this old Christmas card custom is quickly fading away and I don't like it. When I was a child we use to get hundreds of them, but not anymore.

I think it's better to send and recieve paper cards. That way people can use them to help decorate their house. Gives that something extra to the festive feel of the house if the cards are displayed. Also whenever they look at the card you sent them, they will remember and think of you. I think it's a lovely thing to do.

Yes, they have greeting cards that include Christmas cards. Their website is not very user friendly, since it seems you have to know the name of the artist who does the cards, or spend a whole lot of time going through the list of names to find the artwork. Personally, I like the ones that Shelly Rache does. You can find her portfolio at Applejack's website at the following address:

I love receiving Christmas cards, so I decided to send them out this year to my family and friends, and I'm putting a picture of my son in there. Do you do this too? When should I mail them?

Mailing them at this time is VERY appropriate -- and placing a family picture inside of the Christmas Card is a GREAT thought too! That is something that is a special thought .. and ...

Another great thing is to put a little Family Christmas News Letter about the highlights of the year -- another set of birthdays, what cute things the child has done -- the activities, and warm wishes for a Happy Holiday season.

The True Meaning of Christmas

Crazy time of year
Headaches from last minute shopping
Road rage experienced getting to the mall
Intelligent reasons for not giving someone a gift
Silly gifts boyfriends give each year
Tape we use when wrapping our gifts
Merriment we feel our first time getting our loved ones that right gift
Anxiety we experience when giving out crummy gifts
Secret Santas we wish we never had

What do you feel is wrong with tone or message? What should I fix? Is it too long? Does it miss the mark, if so, how can i mend it into a better suitable poem? I am missing comas, are they any spelling or grammatical errors. I am sending this card to tomorrow. the truth hurts but i can handle it. Thanks.

You won't win a greeting card contest with such a downer of a poem. You need to have a more upbeat tone, it needs to be shorter, you need to lose some cynicism.

Both of my grandparents passed away in May and right now I am living in their house, fixing it up. A few people who obviously hadn't heard sent Christmas cards. I didn't want to do this during the holidays, but should I write them letters explaining the situation?

i would definitely respond to these people. send back the cards with a little note explaining what happened.
