Where can i get a card that comes with a voice recorder chip inside that records anything for like at least 30 seconds or more. The card doesn't matter.
Or where can i get a chip ( not from the internet) that is small enough to put inside a card and that records anything. Please i need this answered before Christmas.
i am giving this to my best friend who mean a lot to me for a Christmas as a present.

My brother plays guitar and writes his own songs. For christmas, I would like to get him a sound card that he can plug his guitar into (the same cord he would plug into an amp, or something similar from the amp) and record his music. I know plenty about computer hardware, but don't know a thing about high-end sound cards. Where is a good place to start and what kind of things am I looking for / should I be aware of?

Soundblaster extreme music for about $100. I believe you can get an adapter to plug a guitar into your mic input on the soundcard from places like the source (radio shack). It's just a mic converter (so stereo mics can fit into a regular sound card input jack) and i believe it can double as a sound input converter for other audio equipment. To make sure though, you should check your local computer store and make sure it will work with a guitar.

i have`a Toshiba laptop and cant find a sound card at the stores. Can i get anyone to record a radio station? CHWO 740 am (Toronto)? They are playing Christmas music 24 hrs a day through the holidays and i would like to capture it. How much would you charge.

EDIT.You don't have to burn the CD as mp3 format you can burn it as regular 80 minutes CD.
We've tried contacting the Guinness Book of Records but with no luck. Ideally we need details of how big it was, what type of card it was (we're guessing it was a Christmas card but really have no idea) and where it was.

The biggest I've seen are these cards they sell at Hallmark that are about 2ft by 1.5ft when closed.
I'm sure if you made one the size of a house you could win something.
